Arsenal last season, now today at Spurs. Neither incident needed a red card. I suppose he could also have awarded Spurs a goal like the one he gave Reading in 2008.

It's not just Attwell, all ref's seem to have it in for us this season. Is it me or is it a coincidence that since Mike Riley is head of the ref's,we have had bad decisions go against us. Undecided Undecided Undecided

It was no sending off but dont blame the ref for our  inept performance, 10 or 11 we are shite.

Just seen it and I can see why a red card was given but they were 50 yards from goal and we had a covering defender. Definite yellow card, harsh red card.

This red card was different from the Arsenal one where it did turn the game. We were already a goal down due to poor defending but reducing us to 10 men after 17 minutes with a decision the BBC describe as "ridiculous" still upsets me.

And yes we are total shite and I wish we weren't.

I am starting to wonder if there is any hope of staying up because the red card gives Coyle and Gartside yet another excuse for delay. The longer Coyle stays the less chance we have of avoiding the drop.

The more our defenders are being given the run around because the 6 players ahead of them don't know how to defend from the front as a team, then the more cards the defenders are going to get. Even without stupid referees (which many are).

OC and his staff have no idea how to organise a team or how to get them to fight. The last 8 months show that - it's no knee-jerk reaction.

Forget the performance. The red card was a disgrace and proves this ref either, doesn't know the rules of the game or is cheating.

there's no other reason to send Cahill off for that offence.

either way, he should be sacked, he's proved time and time again he's totally inept and has no idea how to "referee" a football match.

Harsh red card but Cahill deserves the lion's share of the blame for taking a sub-moronic touch and then bringing Parker down on purpose.  Anything can happen at that point.
