I know, but i just hate watching Petrov he has a delivery but he does absolutely nothing to help Robinson getting swamped down the left. At least Eagles is more willing to run a bit.

Injury list my a hole.

Jussi
Bogdan
Steinsson
Robinson
Wheater
Knight
Cahill
Eagles
NRC
Muamba
Petrov
Pratley
MDavies
Kakuta
Klasnic
Davies
OHalleran
Obedeyi
Tuncay

Injuries
Gardner
Holden
Ngog
Lee
Riley
Boyata
Ricketts
Alonso

...so we have a couple of potentail first team players out but you can only realistically count the right back position once in terms of it affecting our play but we still had a fit Steinsson anyway. Lee and Holden are the only other first choice players out except from Ngog who hasn't done anything yet..  So yes, a few injuries but Coyle is still sending out poorly put together teams and he still has a squad of gash.

To survive we need to throw money at the team in the new year.

New keeper, new left back, new striker, new left winger, new centre mid. Buy 4 and get one loanee. Simple.

Is it luck or is it shíte training/physio etc sessions.Under Allardyce he was well known for his state of the art treatment etc and we never seemed to have injuries like this.

The players dont seem as fit now a days either.

I doubt anyone at the club said "Hey, this is workinq . . . Let's gut Sam's system."

As I recall, Allardyce took a lot of the staff with him when he went to Newcastle.  Moreover, as inevitably happens when a small team develops something that gives them an advantage, the bigger teams will have caught on and hired the types of people that Allardyce brought on.

And this money is going to come from ?

Money will be found in the transfer window, it always is when a team is facing relegation. What's another £12m on top of the £100m debt.

I just don't trust Coyle to spend it wisely, his signings have been awful.

Yeah, all the clubs use it now.  There was a bit in one of the Sunday supplements all about it, well it was more about statistical analysis of players and how they're used in creating tactics and in the transfer market (Fat $cam was saying how he used the system to recognise Speed was vastly undervalued by the market) than about the training side, but I'm sure most clubs know enough about sports science to use it to maximise fitness.
Also, I saw in the build up to world athletics champs that ice-baths are out and deep freeze rooms are in.

What does google mean?

If I was picking the team Ricketts, N'Gog, Boyata, LCY and Holden would be missing from I consider our strongest 11.

"Wanderers defensive duo Joe Riley and Sam Ricketts believe it is only a matter of weeks before they return to match action."  Official site.

Our medical team seem to be having as bad a time as the on-field team. Can any club really have this much 'bad luck' alone with injuries ?

Coyle: "Tyrone Mears will be back training with us today and we're looking to have him fully fit before the end of January."

Give us more cover at right back, and we'll find out if he's any good.

All of a sudden we'll be overloaded with right backs.  Maybe we can send Boyata back.

Or actually play him in his proper position - ie. a centre-back.

Although this is true to some extent its also fair to say that Megson didn't buy in to the Sports Science approach as much as Allardyce. He didn't like there being so many different staff that he'd have to interact with & eventually got rid of things like the cryochamber use in post match recovery (something Spurs started using only the beginning of last season).

Under BSA we had the oldest squad in the league but the lowest incidence of injury.
