I thought Borgetti was treated very unfairly. He was a victim of the same curse as Klasnic and Anelka: if you're a striker at Bolton who scores goals, people think you must be lazy.
That is fcuking nonsense, nobody labelled Anelka as lazy. Borgetti's problem was that Big Sam did not think he worked hard enough which was utter bollocks considering he would have scored goals for fun if he had been given the chance.

Not often I agree with you, but that is a spot on comment Borghetti did not stand a chance under Sam.

I often wondered why Sam bought him. Obviously knew where the goal was and how to put the ball in it - never given much of an opportunity to actually do it.

That one where Robbie Savage got two of our lads sent off after 10mins, we went 0-2 down and then pulled it back in the last minute for 2-2 was great.
1 down at United to come back and win 2-1 was fantastic too.
Reading has to be the ultimate though.

Hull away for me - what a brilliant game, and we took about 8k fans too - everyone on the pitch after the small terrace just gave way - great times.
Also the Coca Cola semi against Swindon - Fjortoft scored to put Swindon two up before the comeback - can't even remember the scorers now - Thompson hit the post and soemone followed up, then I think Big Mixu and Super John...

Indeed it was Trigger - great night - especially after it had been postponed 3,4,5 times...

Yes, a magical night at Burnden - it's stating the obvious but winning big games at Burnden will never be bettered.

Completely forgot about Borgetti, first Mexican player in the premiership. He's only 38 bring him out of retirement, probably give Kev a run for his money.

Love all the above come-backs - especially Reading.
How about Spurs away, December 1995 ? Didn't we go 0-2 down and rescue a 2-2 draw with Bergsson scoring ?

This will test some memories.
October 1989, I was just a kid, probably the first time I saw Wanderers outside Lancashire. Away at Swindon Town in the League Cup.
They were a division above us but we managed a 3-3 draw at their place, a last minute Phil Brown equaliser sending the 17 Bolton fans delirious.
Then followed two replays at Burnden Park, both finishing 1-1 after extra time so it went to a third replay at the County Ground. Bolton had major injury problems and manager Phil Neal had to name himself sub and play central defender Mark Came in attack. Came equalised late on to take the game into extra time in front of a sizeable Bolton following. Swindon won in extra time, I think I cried.
I've just remembered Barry Cowdrill scored one of the goals of the century in one of the replays at Burnden, only to have it ruled out for offside. A 35 yard volley that ripped into the top corner.

Came had also scored in the original 3-3 draw IIRC.

That was a great goal. I can still remember him running off to celebrate and then everyone saw the offside flag was up. Shocking decision. Although they were the rules back then.

There was my Dad as well, so we've accounted for 3 of the 17.
