It was a definate red, I thought it when I saw it in the ground and having just seen it again, as Tash-Boy would say, no doubt about it whatsoever.

Probably had my rose tinted specs on when watching MOTD but I did think it was a red when I saw it this afternoon.

Did we actually have a chance on goal apart from klasnic effort at 1-0?

Why anybody would want to watch a shambolic performance on MOTD surely must be a perverted Sadomasochist!

The fans won't turn on Coyle. Gartside & the donkey's representing our club, will be the first in the firing line.

You're right, it's Gartside and co that pick the team and (don't) motivate the players  Roll Eyes

Get rid now and put Coyle in charge of the whole football club. We'll be bankrupt by March.

Well there I was sat at the bar with friends awaiting the start of the matches (on the screens behind the bar were Chelsea vs Wolves, Bolton vs Everton, Crystal Palace vs Millwall and Scum vs Newcastle) drinking diet coke (well I did have a dodgy stomach).  But as soon as I saw the 4-4-2 formation and who was in the starting line-up that was it straight on to the beer for another "drowning the sorrows" session and got even worse when we were down to 10 men within 20 minutes after Wheater stupidly showed his studs in the tackle to get an instant red card.

I, for one, decided to give Coyle his chances but his last chance has now gone!   Time for change and change is needed now if we are to salvage anything from this season.

Edit:  To the Bolton fan (who may or may not be a member of this forum) from Westhoughton, who was also in the bar, a big hello - always great to see other Bolton fans.

Why could you not have said that ^ rather than giving us your life story?

The discipline in the squad is terrible. 4 red cards in 13 league games this season, all of which have been avoidable. I don't know what the stats are like since Coyle took over but I'd guess we're well into double figures.

It's at least the third time a stupid red card has come in a winnable game.  Can't say we'd have gotten anything out of Norwich or Swansea or Everton or even Arsenal with 11 men but you're right, there is just no discipline and it's probably related to the overall lack of discipline in defense.  Wheater, what a goddamned idiot he is.  Takes a first touch like he's never even seen a football then he throws in a potential ankle breaker.

I've had enough, time for Coyle to go.

To be fair, he's hardly likely to be on Twitter saying "I'm going to sack the fanny on Tuesday" is he.

Chairmen always back their manager right upto the minute they give them the bullet.
