It's not glory hunting, there's no guarantee we'd be any good in the Championship especially if Coyle is still in charge.

I'm just bored of Premier League football. Bored of just surviving. Bored of being happy getting a point at Fulham. Bored of seeing very average players earning ridiculous figures. Bored of not trying to win cup competitions. Bored of 17th being our only ambition.

BORED BORED BORED.

p.s. Don't know why I'm replying to Dutchy, he's not even a fan.
Unless some mega rich oil tycoon buys the club then apart from the exitement of fighting relegation thats all there is for us. I can see your point Natasha, there was many a time last season more so after Wembley  that but for having a season ticket I thought ' Do I really want to watch this?' But my radio was broken so I had to go,

Well thanks a lot Gareth, I now feel suicidal.

So I've given the best part of 25 years to the cause and this is how I'm repayed? Year after year of defeat after defeat, with the odd victory enough to keep us 17th.

When we got into the Premiership under Fat Sam our initial ambition was to stay up that first season and build on it. Then the ambition was to finish mid-table. Which we did. Then we dared to dream about Europe. Our dreams came true. I then thought we could win the Premier League. We didn't. It's been shite ever since.

My ambition is to see BWFC win the FA Cup before I die. The Premier League, nah, I don't fancy living to 300.

My ambition is to see Sky go bust taking with them the majority of the Premier League.

1.  Prove that I ain't a fan - will be much harder than what you think!

For me it is about supporting the club through good times and bad (especially 4th division in the Great Lever End stand at Burnden), through the boring times (Megson 1 dimiensional football style) and exciting times (cup runs and Europe via Fat Sam) and through the middle periods (which I believe we are currently in at moment).   Even now, when it does seem more worse, than it actually is, I support my home town club and still shout about Bolton whenever I can.

Bolton is about football - we are not united, City etc, we do not need the money - the excitment is about survival, is about money, is about being at the centre of its fans hearts, its about being the best we can without outside influence, without "oil" money - yes it makes mistakes, who doesn't (an old proverb states that only clowns do not make mistakes).

Oh, I was definitely a season ticket holder before you started being a fan of the club and as I still follow the club, overseas, and go to as many games as possible when over in Bolton - then yes I do have a say.  in fact any bolton fan has a say and it is a weak argument to say only season ticket holders or those who go to matches have a say - a very weak argument and by your terms, Tash, that is very poor of you!

Bolton born and proud to be a Wanderer!

It is a bit like Glory Hunting, everyone likes their team to win but if you did it every week without fail, it would all be very boring.

See for me, if we did go down, I'd still go to the games, but I doubt I'd get that much excitement from beating teams like Burnley, Leicester etc.

I quite like the fact, that we are still in the top league after a decade. Given our limited budgets in the past, that's an incredible feat.

I also like it that given how skint we are, we are seen as the underdogs in the premier league.

That is stupid and football snobbery of the highest order.

Every 3 weeks would be nice, I wouldn't want us to be another Scum or a Chelski or a Citeh but it would be good to think we could actualy win something.

Bangerhard, it isn't proof of course, but I've never heard the Lever End referred to as 'The Lever End Stand' by a Wanderers fan. Seriously.

Seeing as you claim to live in Amsterdam I'm guessing you don't get to many games. Therefore your opinion counts for nothing. Plus, you still owe manny and everyone on BA an apology.

Man up and say sorry.

I've tried Bobby, really I have. In recent years I've tried watching PNE, Chorley, Morecambe & Lancaster City but it just isn't the same. Unfortunately Bolton is in my blood, and the club know it. That's why they treat us like arseholes.

You have to have your lows in football otherwise there would be no highs. Its getting the balance
right, something we as supporters have no control over, but this is just one of the parts of football
what make it what it is,that's why we love/hate it.I can see NW,s point of view, don't think she wants her club relegated per SE,she just wants to enjoy her football again. Also the season of 100 points 100 goals I don't think you will see a season like that again, you may achieve the same stats but not in the style and excitement that it was played in.Nostalgia is all well and good but it can be a millstone too, your better looking ahead with optimism, cos this will change, sooner rather than later hopefully

We didn't actually get 100 points. We don't discuss that though.

Did all home and away games that season.

Remember it well....stuck in the Mersey tunnel queue, Wanderers fans all over the place out of their cars having a top party on the streets. Loved it
