I thought they all played well today. Joe Riley, Muamba, Wheater and Kevin Davies all had great games but I'm going for Eagles. His best game yet and 2 goals. Brilliant.

I voted Riley, because he had a simply excellent debut. It was a hard decision between him, Eagles, SKD, Muamba and Wheater though. BTW Dave, Tuncay came on, so you need to add him to the poll, as some numpty might want to vote for him.

Good point, but he didn't put a foot on the ball either, he played for about 40 seconds.

Riley, excellent debut. Have we got another that can play left back?

Reo-Coker,Riley and Eagles were all 9/10 but I will say Eagles because it's goals that change matches.
His finish for his first goal was exquisite, certainly more than I would expect from a £2 million signing.

Spoiled for choice really, Riley was brilliant, Eagles was flying and Klasnic did some awesome touches, ReoCoker bossed, Muamba edged it for me, just.

I thought Muamba and Klasnic were both very good today...

Muamba was making a huge difference to our usual play and we looked a lot more in command in the middle in terms of being solid and it meant Stoke had no chance to breathe.

I thought Klasnic's quick thinking for the first goal got the ball rolling nicely and set us on our way. He scored two himself, one an excellent long range drive, great finish, and I am pretty sure he was heavily involved in the other goals. Great game from him.

Jussi even managed to make one of his better saves of the season although it perhaps only came about due to a bit of uncertainty at the back to start with.

Great game from all. Eagles comes in for massive praise and even KD was super at times. Riley did great at full back.

Robbo still looks weak but did well over all today.

Since its gonna be hard figurn the man of the match amongst d players, i'll say we just give Coyle !! As he made d selection and gave the key instructions to each of the lad .

So was the one for his second.

It was easier to score from his position for the second goal, I think it has to be a difficult finish for it to be exquisite.

Yes, his first was a fantastic strike, but the little dink for his second was more exquisite IMO. Definition of exquisite: marked by flawless craftsmanship or by beautiful, ingenious, delicate, or elaborate execution

Fair enough, I agree that his little dink over the keeper marked flawless craftsmanship.

I was thinking more the bit about elaborate execution. Both his goals were fantastic, but I think the second was more exquisite.

Wow.

I have never seen a forum conversation on a bwfc forum about which goal was the most exquisite.

I think the first was sheer brilliance. It was a much more difficult finish to achieve. The second was the more exquisite of the two, but easier.

As much as I wanted to go for Riley I had to give the MOTM to Eagles, who was faultless and finally some cover for Robbo at left back.

That same side has to start at WBA or I will seriously question Coyle's judgement.

You know it's been a good day when it's so hard to pick MOTM. I think Eagles just about takes it but you could pick anyone from Riley, Cahill, Wheater, Muamba, Reo-Coker, Mavies, Davies or Klasnic.

Klasnic. Simply because he knows where the net is. If we could create some chances this guy could keep us up.

I went for Muamba, but on reflection I might have gone for Coyle for finally playing him alongside another defence-minded midfielder. Been hoping for a sort of 4231 for weeks and at last he did it. Muamba and NRC shielded the back 4 superbly - something we've been desperate for all season - and the result was a clean sheet for the first time in ages plus a solid platform for the attacking midfielders to build on, instead of spending the whole game tracking back to cover our shaky back four.

I'll vote for OC if he sticks with 2 holding midfielders next game.
