In the near future, Burnden Aces will be relaunching with a brand new look and some new features. Some of these will not be supported on old web browsers and we urge you to update as soon as possible.

The new features will mainly be for the main section of the website. Some features will be added/removed from the forums that will hopefully make things easier around here.

Be patient. I'm in the process of creating an entirely new Burnden Aces but I've not had much time recently because I've more important things on my plate. As things stand, the new site is probably about 80% complete.

If you are a regular user of the main website then you will notice plenty of changes will happen. Hopefully, any changes to the forum will be minor ones.

Are there any features people would like to see? If I think they're good ideas, I will see what I can do.

A Burnden Aces app for the blackberry please.

Unfortunately I don't have the skills to make Blackberry apps and if reports are to be believed, RIM, who are the parent company of Blackberry, are starting to struggle, so there may not be a market for Blackberry in the next couple of years.

Although an app is out of the question, I will be creating a fresh mobile site in the future. I aim to have this working on Blackberry 7 and above, as well as many other touch screen devices.

That doesn't surprise me to be honest, some of the apps are aweful and appart from blackberry messenger all the other apps that you can download are average at best.

Will it be able to work on a Samsung P7510 Galaxy Tablet.  Only asking as I got one as Christmas present and yet tried to lof on to BA yet.

The devices I aim to have BA working with are iPhone/iPod Touch, Blackberry 7 and over & Android.

If you have one of these devices, there is a high probability that your phone will support BA.

This only applies to the main site. An iPhone version of the forum added on afterwards. Whether support will be added for other mobile platforms remains to be seen.

I'm an absolute luddite with stuff like this. What happens if I don't update my browser?  Will I not be able to see anything?

You'll still be able to view websites. However, developers are slowly but surely moving away from the old browsers that they had previously been forced to include in website development.

Updating to the most recent browsers will offer faster and more secure browsing and on the whole, more advanced features can be deployed in them.

When the new Burnden Aces launches, it will not support Internet Explorer 6 and possibily even IE7. To update to the latest version of your browser, use the links in the opening post of this thread and install the necessary browser.

We've done that before. People showed interest but when they were given permission to post, only one or two took advantage of it.

It might not be possible because I am not web design geek like yourself but anyway of linking peoples posts on here with twitter so that they could be re-tweeted if that person had a twitter account for example.

I'll keep it in mind. Twitter is going to feature heavily on the new site but I hadn't really thought about it for the forum.

Instead of putting a tweet button over each post, maybe I could look at putting one at the top of each thread should people wish to send it to Twitter.
