You Got A Hall Pass Brah!?

WWW
« on: 31 October 2011, 12:07 PM »

Anyone got any clue where he is actually up to?

I've not seen the club even mention him for a while...

Is he still injured or due back soon?

Couldn't be much worse next Reo-coker in the middle?

I don't think he'll ever play for us again, or in the Prem. He's been out too long and no sign of a return any time soon.

On the same subject, where's Ricketts up to in his recovery ?

Sean Davis has been a massive disappointment with his injuries. I don't think he will ever play for us again although he is still on the books and drawing a salary.

He should have his pay stopped if he is injured. He's been out for over 2 years, and his contract is up at the end of the season, he has to go.

It's called a contract Bob.

If you continue to post these dumb messages I will be putting a contract out on you.

Ironic.

Fair play to Harry.

He managed to offload a lot of crap from his reserves team at Portsmouth to Megson and Lee.

Would the club have insurance policies against long term injuries like this?

I have no idea, but there's no way they could terminate his contract just because he's injured. Unless he got injured diddling Zat Knight.

Shame though, we could bin Davis, Holden & Mears and save millions.

In the last year of a three year contract, established at £28,000 per week.

the midfielder has only been able to feature in four competitive matches since joining on a free transfer from Portsmouth in the summer of 2009.
I guess we will be opening talks with him soon...

He's 32 and didn't even look like a decent signing before his injury all them years ago. I couldn't care less when he's due to return - just when he's due to get scrubbed off the wage bill.

Signing him (a near 30 year old with previous injury problems) on a three year deal was an excellent bit of business by Gary Megson.

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

Coyle looking to send him out on loan for a month or so. I suppose it's better than playing reserve games.

Quote
"He's been out for two-and-a-half years, not just a couple of months," Coyle said.

"There are steps along the way to getting back to full fitness and I think that (a loan deal) is a conversation that needs to take place between myself and Sean.

"If it's the right thing for him, I'd certainly not be averse to it."

That's probably not a bad idea considering how long he has been out for. You never know he might regain his form and fitness and become a good player for us again. He may be just the type of player help us get promoted if we go down

I don't think he's really needed now, to be honest. He was when we brought him in, but since we have brought Reo Coker in, and Mark Davies has stepped up well, as has Muamba at time. Plus, with Holden to come back, and with age against Davis; I think we should let him go.

Can't see him being offered a new deal, fit or not, at his age.

True, Chris, but he'd not been out injured for 2 years.  Plus, Blake came with a reputation as a man-motivator in the changing room.
