I suspect Coyle will get one more game, if Stoke thrash us I can't see how Gartside can keep him on.

If we lose 5-0 to Stoke again you will see somebody run onto the pitch and start opening fire at the players.

Are you still supporting Owen Coyle?

I do think that he is a victim of circumstance and due to a lack of funds and bad luck we do not have a good enough team to compete at present and I am starting to fear that Coyle is a good manager when things are going well but does not have it in him to turn this kind of thing around.

I don't want him gone and I am happy to give him another 2 or 3 games but we need to pick up something in all 3 of our upcoming games and won of those needs to be a win, I would say though that nobody screams as being a ready made replacement for Owen.

I can't see anything better than a draw against Stoke. I would think it would be easy to motivate the players for this game to try and make partial ammends for the Semi Final debacle, but in reality, I suspect most of the players don't give a shíte anyway now. There is absolutely no fight in this group of "players".

I have said that, you would think some of them would have some pride and want to make amends, I don't think this current lot have any kind of personal pride though.

Its nice to know that £20,000+ a week though is where you start to lose any sort of pride in what you do.

it won't be 5-0 again, but we'll lose.

3-1 I reckon.

Actually, we may get something out of it. Stoke ar playing tomorrow, and I've just realised they're playing in Europe on Thursday, so the match against us will be their 3rd in 7 days and their squad isn't that big. I change my prediction to 3-2 to us.

This is going to be the Hull game all over again.

If we can't beat a Stoke team that is playing tonight and in Tel Aviv on Thursday, then Coyle has to go. Simple as.

Strange as it may seem but I would happily settle for a draw. The one thing we cannot afford to do is lose.

I don't think a draw is enough, considering they have 3 game's in less than a week. This would be an ideal time to play a very solid Stoke side.

Stoke were poor last night, although it has to be said Newcastle looked very good indeed.

We should win this one, but this is Owen Coyle's Bolton so 2-0 Stoke.

That 3-1 result really surprised me last night to be honest.

If and it's a big if we turn this around with a good performance then I can see us winning this 3-0.

Just proves what a bit of team spirit can give you. No superstars in that Newcastle side but the fight and passion they show even when their under the cosh is outstanding.

I was thinking about this last night watching the game. If you look at the Newcastle players, individually they are no better than what we have got. In fact, apart from maybe the keeper and Demba Ba i would say we have more talented players.

But they are clearly well organised and well drilled, they were on to every 2nd ball, they didn't give Stoke a second on the ball without someone snapping at their heels. Every single player gave 100% right until the final whistle. They were one of the favorites to go down before the season started and now they are third in the table. I have never particularly liked Pardew but he clearly knows what he is doing.
