As soon as the second goal went in the ground was empty.
I can't believe they stayed that long fair play to them.
we were about as outclassed in the second half as we were against chelsea.
how scary is that.

My thoughts on the game is Coyle needs to get real or fcúk off. The players don't want to play for him any more. Even Reo-Coker looked like he couldn't be arsed today. And the fans weren't good either so I don't know where he got that from, it was dead all the way through, no atmosphere whatsoever.
We suddenly seem to have an awful combination of players that aren't good enough, alongside players that can't be arsed. I am very worried. Something is massively wrong but OC can't seem to see it. If he thinks the first half was an acceptable performance then he needs his head testing.
I have scoffed at some of the negative views that have been spouted by the likes of Natasha on here. I scoff no longer. I am not quite at the stage of saying Coyle out, but i'm not far off.

For once will you just talk fcuking sense like some managers do when there team have played shíte and say something like ''that was fcuking terrible, our fans don't pay there hard earned money to watch us play crap football every week and i will be making big changes next week''
I don't know where the fans were excellent thing came from, it was like a cemetary...and with good reason.

It's time to get your time machine out and take us back to the 90's. I'll be at the top of Shifnall Street at 10pm.

The 90's? At the moment I would just settle for 2000 - 2005 when we were in europe under big sam.

He is keeping his head firmly in the sand, and I think his constant praising of us fans is just an obvious attempt to keep us on side. I think deep down he knows he's not good enough. I am still partially in denial myself but I think, deep down, I know he is not good enough aswell.
The man has no tactics. You can't just pick players and say go out and play 442. Ricketts said it on Goals on Sunday, they don't actually have tactics, they just watch a DVD of the opposition. Sturridge said he loved it here cos all they do in training is play 7-a-side. If Owen thinks that's all there is to football then he needs a reality check. Do we not practice set pieces? Clearly not after that shambles of a dead ball in the first half. Do we not do defensive drills? Clearly not if Zat Knight/Paul Robinson are anything to go by. Do we not do fitness training. It would seem not going off the amount of late goals we concede.
Sorry i'm ranting now, I'm gonna turn this laptop off cos I am fcuking fuming.

We obviously don't do that much on defending corners as were still using the same tactic that was used under the old manager, everyone in the box and no player outside the box as an outlet.
It isn't rocket science that if the opposition has a corner and the ball is cleared then it will automatically come back to you if all of your men are in the box defending.....but hey what do I know.

We all know our defence is a shambles, and I can't understand why Coyle keeps picking Robinson.
But our biggest problem is creativity, we simply don't have any. We don't have anyone who can put their foot on the ball and pick out a pass like Campo used to do. Muamba, Reo-Coker and Pratley could be the same player, they are all carthorses who couldn't pass water.
Coyle has produced a team of Championship standard players, next season they should have a chance.

The problem is when Gardner came on he gave it away loads - and thats who people want to replace robbo.
Gardner shanked about 8 passes and then scuffed a free kick 30 yards to them to set up the second goal.

I'd still rather have Gardner.

Even though he created 2 or 3 good chances for Sunderland just by fluffing his lines??
you've got to be kidding me.
i like him too his pace is great but his passing negates all that for me.

Me too. At least try it out. My bro said he wants Gardner to play every week and I do too. But as I said to him. Maybe we have a fantasy that he will do well just because Robinson is poo. I also said to him that "whilst Gardner is fast and great 80% of the time he is more prone to Jimmy Philips style cock ups" - and he did at least two of those today. I would still give him a chance though. And man of the match Jussi would still be replaced by Bogdan in my first eleven.

I'd rather Gavin McCann came out of retirement and play left-back than Robinson. Alonso will do when he gets back from injury, but at the moment it has to be Bibi.

I thought I would read what OC had to say after the game and reading it pisses me off even more, he sounds like a simpleton: -
''We wanted to capitalise on the forward momentum and secure another three points on the board.''
"We came into the game on the back of an excellent win last week and we were looking to build on that.''
Oh and he even decided to remind the fans of the fixtures coming up just in case...
"We are straight back in action on Tuesday night in the Carling Cup and we follow that up with a game at Swansea at the weekend."

I'm pretty sure Coyle writes his after match interview the night before.
In all the time he's been manager I've never once heard him criticise the team or threaten to drop players. He clearly thinks he's doing the right thing by talking positive all the time, but sometimes fans just want to know the manager can see what they are seeing i.e. shite.

To be fair to OC (much as I don't feel like doing that just now), I thought he said on MotD that "the fans pay their hard-earned money to watch us and we have to reward them" or something along those lines. No mention of any 'cr*p' though.

I don't care what he's saying on the camera tbh as long as he's tearing them to bits in the dressing room.
does anyone actually believe he is though?
I don't.

Nope and never for one moment have I imagined Coyle going into the cressing room and give them all a bollocking, hell i don't even think he laid into the team at half time at wembley to be honest. He is too worried about upsetting the side by having a go at them and wants to keep them onside and be positive.
