Why does Davies take the rare penalties we get? He used to be good but not any more.

That's a good question - also, why was this good question not in the game thread?

Petrov's penalty against Norwich was the most accurate finish by a Bolton player I've seen in years, let him have them!

Petrov shouldn't be in the team.
But if he is he probably should take them.

Davies shouldn't be in the team either. Maybe Lofty the Lion should take our penalties !

I watched Football First on Sky last night. At the end of our game you see our players celebrating and I'm sure Kevin Davies says to Petrov "now you can take the next one" or something like that.

Remind me - how many has Davies missed out of the last 10 he's taken?

Has he taken 10?
He's scored 4 or 5 in a row but has missed his last 2.

He did have a very good record in previous seasons but I think he has missed his last 2 now. Petrov should deffo take them.

He's not on form at present - it is going to reflect in his penalties as well.

If petrov's penalties are anything like his free kicks latley then no thanks.
N'gog would be my 1st choice.

Davies' penalties up to Arsenal last season were all quite well taken, especially for someone who never even took a penalty until he was almost 33. He's missed two in a row though - both pretty bad efforts - so you would assume it will fall to Petrov now.

Petrov or Eagles would be my preferred takers.

Some of Davies' penalties that went in were not great finishes to be honest.

Al Habsi was off his line, should have been re-taken.

It made more sense to let Petrov or Eagles take the penalty because Al Habsi has never trained with them. Any penalty that goes in is a good penalty.

Like it. Think he should take them if he's on the pitch. Otherwise Ngog if he's willing.

Well that's a load of rubbish. That's like saying every save is a good save.

That's a good question - also, why was this good question not in the game thread?
Does it matter? Its a general question about penalties not just about the last one at Wigan
