We did the same at Watford. 3-0 up at half time. Conceded four goals in something like the last 20 minutes. Worst performances I saw, 0-6 against the Scum, getting beat at home 5-1 I think, by Coventry, and this season in general. Most dissapointing games, any losing to Tranmere, Wigan, Bury and all the other dross that used to turn us over in the 80s and 90s.
Was at both Stamford Bridge and Vicarage road for the 4-3 games, played Notts County in the league cup under John McGovern and were 6-0 down after 26 minutes that was pretty spineless

Think the 0-0 draw at home to sunderland on the 1st day of the season a few years back was pretty bob for me. Can't remember a single shot on goal or any fight or will to win
We lost that one nil, that Bent fella who cannot hit a barn door against us scored.

I think rock bottom for me was losing at home to Darlington 3-0 in the 80s on a cold wet winter night in front of less than 3000. Although the 1st half yesterday runs it close.

So what is the most spineless performance you've seen then?
I could name 100 games worse than any 0-0 I've seen.
Sorry, thought this was an open discussion, didn't realised I'd be jumped all over for airing my views, Worst one for me, apart from Wembley was the 6-1 thrashing at home to Villa

They're more like it Gazz. You're getting the hang of it now. I don't pull men btw. You're not in jail anymore Gazz. You can get women to do that for you now.

11 points, with 1 win. But what's 1 point here or there. At least we've already got the win. 15 points for Sunderland 05/06. 19 points for Portsmouth 09/10. The good news is - all three clubs are alive & no lower than the Championship.

Derby also had their win by the beginning of October... But Pompey got 9 points knocked for going into administration. So I hope we are aiming for at least the 16....

Bergsson and Frandsen were garbage that day.It was amazing how Big Sam came in a couple of years later and turned nice guy losers into battle hardened survivors.

Well I wouldn't say we had battle hardened survivors when OC came in, but we seem a softer touch now by far.

Correct me if I am wrong but I seem to remember us getting trounced by Tranmere in a league cup semi final away from home which was a really shocking performance. Last season's 5-0 defeat against Stoke was right up there. It seemed like some fans who had spent a lot of money and travelled a long way were leaving after about 30 minutes. Watford in the play off final in the late 90s was a very disappointing performance in the biggest of games. Sunday's performance in the first half was terrible but the fact it was against Chelsea means I can let it go. We're expected to lose that game. So for me losing at home to Norwich two weeks earlier was more disappointing.

I remember that one - I left at half time (and I never normally leave early) as I had dragged the Mrs, a five and a three year old to the game...we sat there in miserable weather and saw five shots and five goals in the first half...our cold picnic en-route by some reservoir had been far more entertaining!

And another ............... League Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane Dec 2001. Was it 0-4 at half-time ? Ended 0-6. Insisted the stewards let me out at half-time, then the Victoia Line was on strike or some other poxy reason.

Spurs dicked us 4-0 in the FA Cup that year as well.

Losing 5 - 0 to Stoke last season. I don't know if it was the most spineless performance ever but it's the one that hurts the most. Everything seemed to fall apart that day and it hasn't been fixed since.
On the subject of 4 - 3 humiliations after leading 3 - 0 didn't we also manage to do that against I think Peterborough in the old Second division as well?
