I posted after the Chelsea hammering that OC had the next 7 games to get us going in the right direction. That still stands.
Yesterday was a great start to this batch of games after 6 straight defeats and poor performances. I doubt we could have expected much better - form & confidence aren't going to return overnight. But there's atill a lot of work to do, as I'm sure OC realises.
The middle 9 games of the season end with the return games against ManU, Arsenal & Liverpool, so it's important we get up to mid-table before then if we want to avoid relegation.
I stll don't understand OC's team selections and (most) substitutions, but he's in charge and he'll stand or fall by his decisions.
I'm happy we've put 3 more points on the board and got off the bottom. I'll start worrying about Sunderland about 3:17pm on Thursday afternoon.

The bit in bold is the difference between you and jayjay.

As to the other points, I will simply say that you can only beat the team in front of you.

Oh come off it.
Doesn't matter how many times I have said in the past that I am delighted for a win you all pick apart my posts and only see the negatives. (the very thing you accuse me of doing).

Am I out of order for not dacning on the rooftops? I just prefer to be a realist. Great thing that we won. I want us to win every game. However I am less inclined to cheer a victory which is gifted to us than a hard fought battle. The problem with the Wigan win, including team selection, is that it doesnt really fill me with a great deal more confidence going into the next game due to the same mistakes (Robinson) being made over and over again. I like to keep it in perspective.

Most of you probably hated Coyle at 3pm (ish) when the teams were announced. Then when the first goal went in you loved him. Then when Wigan equalised you hated him. Then when we took the lead again you loved the team again. I think you are more fickle than I.

Or a simpleton, as his English isn't getting any better.

Well, I find this hard to believe myself but Mo has posted from an ip address which links to India!

I'm certain there are ways to mask ip addresses but whether it be by coincidence, accident or design - the ip address DOES show as being from India!

I'm pretty impressed if he's gone to the effort of masking his IP address for the sake of a joke that isn't all that funny.

I said, "it doesn't matter how many times I have said in the past"... so because of that I didn't bother this time.

Let's not talk about me. It's boring.

Do you think Coyle will stick with the team that won or will he make changes? And which would you prefer him to do and why?

There is a Bolton Vs Sunderland thread in which to discuss this.

So because you've praised the team for other victories you decided not to bother this time?

Yes you are boring.

Could this be jayjay23? I was reading a blog on Vital Bolton and in the comments below I came across this:

Despite how poor they've been, I think Petrov and SKD this season is preferable to Taylor and Elmander last season!
jayjaybwfc

They have a similar name and style to jayjay (talking bobbins), though whoever they are, they obviously aren't to bright.

That author said something mildly complimentary about Kevin Davies so no, it was not jayjay23.

Apparently it was the 4th official who persuaded the referee to give that handball that never was against Robbo.
How crap is that? There's probably been plenty of times in matches when a 4th official could have spoken up to help make a right decision and didn't, but one decides to do it when he's completely wrong!

No. Not me. Are you having a laugh. How can Davies be preferable to Elmander who scored 10 in first 16 games?
