So, after a drubbing off Chelsea, what now? What will be the score and who will Coyle pick? Will we actually score? What think thee?

I pretty much think our best side to face Wigan is... Bogdan Boyata Wheater Cahill Gardner Muamba Kakuta NRC Pratley Mavies Petrov Ngog If Coyle continues to start Petrov and Robinson together on the left I will lose what little faith I still have. I think we should try playing with one striker but with good attacking wide support from Kakuta and Petrov. If we decide to change it we could also bring in Tuncay up top with Ngog at some point. You will notice there are three in the centre of midfield. Take your pick of two of those to stay in and one to take out. Personally I would have Mavies in as an attacking influence as he should have the opportunity to make an impact with the extra cover provided by Muamba.

Take Bogdan, Pratley, Petrov out for Jussi and Eagles and I will have that. I really cannot stand Martin Petrov and yesterday summed up his whole BWFC career so far some good but mostly crap with little effort.

Even with the 12 men you've picked we wouldn't beat Wigan.

Does it not depend on what the red card is for? Klasnic got 3 games because it was violent conduct. I could be wrong though.

Yup, Wheater only gets one game.

Thanks for clearing up the red card. Actually I'd rather risk conceding a goal than going down to 10 men, but players (managers?) don't seem to agree.
The original questions was "who will Coyle pick ? " ...............

If we beat Wigan, Sunderland and Swansea in October we could potentially be in 8th in the league. 12 points from 10 games would be a pretty average return for us and it would be staying up form. However, the hard work begins at Wigan and if we lose there and don't get something out of the other two we will be in a relegation battle for the rest of the season.
The next three games will set the tone for where the rest of our season will lie.

Wigan is key, they've had just as bad a start as us.....if we can't get something from this game it really is time for a change at the top.

Can't help thinking that OC needs a bit of help, now this may sound crazy, but I feel Sammy lee could do a great job as No 2 as he has in the past, maybe there are contractual problems or other baggage, but if he can be snapped up surely it's worth a flat bottomed boat used on the River Cam.

Yes I agree it not only sounds crazy, it is crazy. What on earth makes you think Lee would be able to help Coyle?

They'd both find lots of positives from the latest heavy defeat.

Both teams will be fairly desperate for a win and I think it will be a nervous affair which could go either way. I think the team that concedes the first goal will be gutted and it will have a big psychological impact - but I also think that if we score the first goal, our players have the tendency to get cocky and could actually blow the lead, despite having a psychological advantage unless Wigan capitulate as they did the other season.
I've no idea who OC will pick for this one and to be honest, I'm getting fed up with debating it. We all religiously document our wish lists, and most folk agree we're not solid enough at the back, but OC still goes his own way despite shipping goals and losing games in an unconvincing style. I would be amazed if he picks the team I think he should for this game, but I live in hope. Come on Owen - surprise me FFS.

I don't see how Coyle could consider starting Boyata at right back , fair enough Steinsson was poor against Chelsea yet Boyata looked completely out of his depth against United , his touch is poor and his delivery is awful and he gives nothing going forward . There needs to be a replacement for Robbo too as hard working as he is he is not premiership standard , we are getting completely exploited down the wings every game , although that is partly Petrov's fault .
Have been very impressed by NRC though , was unsure about him .

Looks like you will be home nice and early then.... I think if we lose against wigan coyles position needs to be looked at.With the run of form we have had a draw wouldnt be a bad thing. Heres hoping for a win though 2-0 n'gog scoring both

Klasnic has to start seeing as he's the only one who can shoot straight.
I'd also like to see Ngog given his chance but fear Davies will be back in the team.
