EDIT - VIDEO ADDED (4 MIN 26 SEC) - SEE POST 7 OF THIS THREAD.

I am very interested to hear what Mr Coyle has to say for himself post match - I hope he has not tried to put a positive spin on things again if he has I think that would be a very bad move - I would much rather he came out and said 'listen fans I ***** up today my tactics were all wrong and I apologise however if I can ask you all to get behind the team at Wigan on Saturday - our future starts here"

We shall see

Coyle said: "It was a tough afternoon for us, particularly in the first half. But regardless of who you are playing, you have to give yourself a chance in the game and we didn't do that.

"We allowed a goal to happen with a free header after 90 seconds and that gave us a mountain to climb. There was a soft second goal too and then there were the two other goals - young Adam is destined for a big future but he had a difficult afternoon.

"But in all of that you have got to say that there was some exquisite finishing from Chelsea - world-class players can be ruthless and they were today.

"In the second half we were terrific and scored a very good goal, but it's not good enough to play for just 45 minutes.

"We felt we scored another goal but the linesman said that it hadn't crossed the line when it clearly did. And then there was the unbelievable save by Petr Cech from Chris Eagles. It wouldn't have made any difference to where the three points were going, but it would have highlighted even more the spirit, character and endeavour displayed by the players in the second half.

"The recent results have happened and we are all disappointed, everyone alike. But coming out of the international break we start with Wigan away and follow that with teams that are there or thereabouts. We have to bring everything we have got - the quality and commitment - together for the full 90 minutes in those games.

"I've got to say the fans were magnificent today, given that we had come off the back of some bad results. They stayed with the players and got behind them, and I'd like to thank them for that."

absolute rubbish tbh. Second half we improved but mainly because Chelsea took their foot off the gas big time.

and they could still have scored 4 more if they wanted.

I don't like Steve Bruce but after Sunderland's defeat at Norwich on Monday he simply said "we were rubbish and got what we deserved".

This is all I want my manager to say. I don't expect him to pick on individuals, I just want him to acknowledge when we are shite.

Maybe something along the lines of this may be more appropriate:

"Well listen lads I really fucked up today and on behalf of myself and the team I would like to apologise to all the fans who have donated their precious time and resources to come and cheer on their beloved team.

I could see from the outset that robinson was being destroyed by the chelsea winger however I decieded to wait until we were 4-0 behind before I switched things around to give the boy some support.

I know that kevin davies is clearly past it but afterall he is super kevin davies and we must never forget that - it was great to see him win the man of the match award and my choice to perserve with him in this regard was clearly justified by the clowns in the corporate boxes - i'll continue to play him on the wing despite the fact that he is a centre forward as this is clearly what our sponsors dictate.

I could see that we needed pace on the wings and this is why I decieded to relieve ricardo garnder of his duties irrespective of the fact that he was the fastest player on the pitch.

On reflection I am disapointed that my players take my instructions to 'mark up' a little too literally thus allowing the chelsea centre half to run with the ball from his own dead yard line all the way into the bolton box completely unchallanged and this is something we clearly need to work on in training.

Lets put things into perspective, I'll make my way to the cashpoint tonight and there will be another crisp £50,000 waiting there for me, so i'd like to raise a glass to you all - thank you for your continued siupport and see you in a fortnight."

Yep. Just say "we were not good enough and I am not happy with it. Yes we improved slightly in the second but we were never in it - it's not good enough and I'll be having Robinson shot tomorrow"

OK with most of what he said actually felt a bit sorry for him, came accross as he feels let down by the players as we do and OK with that.

One thing bothering me though re  : 'the fans were tremendous today they stayed with the players and got behind them" - given the loud chorus of boos at various points is he being sarcastic?

I think he meant the 5minutes where we had them at 4-1 and some sections were shouting ''WTOAOW'

I also see he didn't mention the fact the stadium was pretty much empty by 80mins.

I felt really sorry for Bogdan, a young goalie who was playing against one of the best sides in europe needs protection.  Not some icelandic shithouse nodding off and then the rest of the team not doing there duties properly.

People should cut him some slack and remember he did himself justice when stepping in previous so don't write him off just on one bad performance.

I thought some of the ironic cheering for Bogdan when he caught the ball or made a save was out of order.

Jussi has made similar mistakes over the years.

It was out of order and could ruin him, some people need to fcúk off and support somebody else and Jussi probably made the biggest howler for years when he somehow scored an OG from that Gerrard shot.

Booing Bogdan is out of order, but I'm tired of hearing Coyle and some fans saying "he will learn from his mistakes".

He's a well paid Premiership player and his handling is pisspoor, if he can't catch a simple shot then he shouldn't be at this level. Surely it's something you learn as a kid?

He's not that young though . . . I mean consider that David De Gea is three years younger and under a zillion percent more pressure.  I don’t agree with booing Bogdan or any player who just makes a mistake.  To say that it will “ruin” him though seems a bit over the top.  If we can’t come back from that then he probably won’t make it in this league anyway.
