I'm the last person who wanted to get rid of Coyle. However I think we have no choice anymore. Ok, no one expected us to get many points from these opening games, but it's all to do with the MANNER, in which we lose. We just self destruct and don't have idea on what to do.
Of course, that doesn't help when you have, quite possibly, the most tactically naive manager in the premier league. I mean...I just don't. We got destroyed against United down the left hand side and as a result, we got battered. Surely that should maybe raise some alarm bells? Well it clearly didn't, because we did the same today. Petrov isn't going to track back often, it just isn't going to happen. He's not that kind of player, never has been, so why Coyle expects this I do not know.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but Gartside walked out after about 30 minutes. I followed soon after.
I don't have the confidence in Coyle anymore. I don't think we'll beat Wigan in a fortnight. I think he needs to go.

Just watch his body language, he is so clueless he just sits with his head in his hands, Even the Ginger used to shout and scream in vein. How can he motivate any of these underacheivers is beyond me, it would be like taking a bolloking from Norris off Coronation St, i bet he's the laughing stock of the dressing room. There is absolutly NO competition for places in the team as when an alternative is tried they do their best to make a complete idiot of themselves. Wheater, Klasnic, Bogdan, Tuncay. I bet people like Robinson and SKD bully Coyle and nick his dinner money.

I like that hamspam about Robbo and Kev nicking Coyle's dinner money. I really like Coyle as a person, he is a nice guy but I must be honest I have no confidence in him any more to do anything against the bigger clubs. We may as well play the reserves against all these players so it doesn't ruin the confidence of the first team players and it will give them a rest so they are ready for the games we can get results in. Is anyone surprised we lost 5-1 today, I think we all knew we would get battered, I bet on Chelsea minus 1 knowing it was safe. I have realised that under Coyle it is safe to stick £20 on us to lose against Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool home or away. We're so soft, we're an easy touch, we were never like this under Big Sam. I wouldn't sack Coyle any time soon, we've had some really difficult games against teams who have huge resources compared to ourselves, we're kidding ourselves if we think we should be getting results or getting close to these teams. Lets see how we get on after the international break against teams we should be competing against. I just hope Coyle is learning from the mistakes and where we're going wrong but I am not sure he is.

He's getting 4 more games for me and if the performances don't improve he has to walk.

Like I said though, it's the manner of the defeat. Remember we played Norwich and didn't deserve anything; despite the improved second half performance.

Fulham took a point off City, a couple of teams have beaten Liverpool, everyone's stuffed Arsenal except us. I don't get your point.

exactly; i can take defeat if the players have given everything for the shirt. There's too many passengers in this team who couldn't give a fcuk. Coyle has to take the blame even if some of these players wouldn't play well under fcuking Mourinho.

I am now starting to lose patience with Coyle and his approach to management and I really do think he needs help with a new coach who knows how to organise a defence, because the 2 men who are assisting coyle seem to fcúk all about defending.
I am willing to give him a chance and see how we perform against Wigan and Sunderland but if we fail to win either of them then I think his position as bwfc manager is very bleak.

If we lose to Wigan, Sunderland and Swansea he has to go. At this moment in time I fully expect us to lose all 3 games. I really hope I'm wrong.

We rarely do well at wigan, sunderland are not having a good time of it and that game depending how the previous game has gone for both sides could spell the end of either bruce's of coyles reign and both clubs.

The team for the Villa cup-tie looked like OC had realised what approach needed to be taken. Now he seems to have chickened out. OK, 7 matches gone ..... we've got about the points I expected, but the performances have been atrocious ...... for me, he's got 7 more games to see if he & his buddies have the gumption and the b*lls to turn things around - up to & including the match at White Hart Lane on 3rd December.

Cant argue with that really, Swansea will be tricky but at present given current form those next 2 should be the easiest games we play all season. I will be lying if I said, I was not fearing the worst but I tend to get my optimism back after a couple days.

Wigan Athletic - A Sunderland - H Swansea - A
November
Stoke - H W.Brom - A Everton - H
If we were playing well and lost but scored more than what we have done then I would say we will get maybe 10 points from the above games but at present I honestly can't see were 6points from them games will come from.

That would leave us with 8 points which at present means top 10 but by the time them fixtures have been played it will mean we could be 16th maximum.

Reallistically we need to be taking 14 pts from the next 6 games, win at wigan,3 home wins and draws in the other two away games, there's not a cat in hells chance that we will but thats how bad things have got, sort it quick Coyle or f**k off.

How often do we draw games though, it's either win quite well or get a thumping 3 or 4 nill.

There is no way on this form we will beat Stoke at home, WBA away they will kill us and Everton will walk all over us.
Sunderland are playing shíte atm, maybe a win there but thats it. Draw with wigan (?) draw with swans (?) maybe.

I wonder if Gartside is considering sacking him at the moment, I personally can't see it to be honest as he is the one who faught like fcúk with burnley to bring him here. Unless the owners decide to over rule him.

We won't win away again under Coyle, regardless of the opposition. Sunderland at home seems winnable, but every season Sunderland go through a rough patch and then turn things around by playing us.

Tough call. Coyle was brought in largely to improve the attitude and atmosphere around the club. He did that for a time, as well as getting some good results, but now it's all gone to hell. The players are not in the right place mentally and the fans were rightly appalled by what was happening against Chelsea.
It's conceivable we could get 9 points from our next 3 games but it's also possible that things have just gotten too bad under Coyle for the players to be able to motivate themselves for the upcoming games.

Maybe the smart move would be to bring in an experienced assistant, namely Steve McLaren, shíte manager, brilliant coach, and it would work out a cheaper option employing one more person, than sacking the rabble Coyle brought with him.

Gartside won't sack him any time soon because of the amount of effort he put into getting him & the furore it caused would mean he'd lose too much face to do it now. I think it's too early anyway. We've had probably the toughest opening fixtures of any team ever in the premier league. Arsene Wenger had the audacity to cry conspiracy at having to play ManUre & Liverpool so early in the season so he'd probably have had a break-down with our fixtures. Add to that serious injuries to 2 key players & we were never going to get many more points than we have now. However, this doesn't excuse the woeful performances. When Coyle first came I was worried about his insistence on always playing 4-4-2 with the same personnel regardless of the opposition or the situation. This wouldn't be so bad if he didn't also insist on playing 2 box-to-box central midfielders instead of playing one purely as a defensive midfielder who doesn't go within 40 yards of the opposition goal. I take heart from the fact that he finally did try 4-5-1 at Villa & Arse at least. He probably should have played it today but I don't mind so much him wanting to try & stick to the attacking philosophy that made him popular at home as long as he changes it at the tougher away games. I'm hoping the fact he finally did change it to good effect at Villa (although not so much at Arsenal) means he may also now look at changing other things too instead of being so stubborn.
There are worse teams than us so I still think we'll finish at least 16th & have a decent cup run with him in charge but we need to pick up points fast to boost morale. 3 points at Wigan will be a start.
