If When we lose to Chelsea we will have 3 points from 7 games.

Yes I know many will say we had the opening fixture list from hell – but the simple truth is that we had to play the United, Liverpool’s etc, some time or other in the season.

Ok what I’m getting to is that we are looking for about 40 points to stay up.

We now have 31 games to go – that’s a lot isn’t it.  Or is it?

Are we going to roll over and play dead to Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal and Liverpool again – if so we are down to 26 games.  Still a lot right?

Well out of those 26 games (excluding City, United and Chelsea) 13 are away – do I need to remind anyone about our away record (just 1 win and 1 draw, 13 defeats = 4 points out of a possible 45!).

So what would you say is a realistic return out of those games – 12 points perhaps?

So that means we need to get 25 points out of our 13 home games (not including Liverpool and Arsenal) or 8 wins and a draw – do able but our current home form if we lose to Chelsea is 6 consecutive defeats!

So the pressure is on already!

Have we got a lot of easy games to come – Home and away at places like Stoke, Spurs, Everton, etc, local derbies with Blackburn and Wigan – do we truly have a run of easy matches to get us out if this mess.

Quite scary when you look at things this way!

Wigan is not the easy game becase they are play well so far plus Al Habsi  Cool is the best goalkeeper. Am thinking sunderlans is best chance for win 3 points for sure.
