I know we haven't had anything to sing about really this season, but the atmosphere is really, really poor....
I think back to those good days of Bruce Rioch and Colin Todd....and even in the early days in the Premier League with Big Sam where a simple - "Come on you Whites" - at free kicks, corners and throws would resound around the ground...How did that simple, yet powerful chant fall by the wayside???...instead we've had for a while, the rather banal and erroneous "We are the one and only Wanderers..."
If the Emirates is like a library, then currently the Reebok can only be described as a morgue...
Anyone fancy resurrecting "Come on you Whites", even if it won't work miracles against Chelski???

We haven't had much to sing about for months now and fans anywhere do tend to take the lead from what's happening on the pitch. Against City I thought the atmosphere was good with us roaring them on for an equalizer. United were so far in front after 20 minutes that if other fans were anything like me they were totally pissed off. Norwich being a must win game was quite tense at the start but turned ugly after their goals.
Think I'm saying the atmosphere has been about as good as we can hope bearing in mind the shite served up of late.
I dont think we need the fecking drummers though.

I agree - I think the thing about the City game and for a few minutes in the Norwich game at 2-1, we showed fight and spirit...gave us something to hope for...

You start the chant then Spike. If people want to join in they will.
Where do you sit? I'll be waiting to hear it on Sunday.

Atmosphere doesn't change what happens on the pitch, so does it really matter. I'd rather sit in silence than have some fat baldy shouting in my ear.

That's a load of crap, we've had some great days and nights there. I don't want some fat fcúk telling me I have to stand while he leads us in the singing.

I don't get people who want to stand when they have a perfectly good seat. Very, very strange.

Did you used to sit or stand at Burnden Park?

Can I answer that Dave? I used to stand at Burnden, Embankment or Paddock. But I don't stand in the cinema or theatre, no need.

We're not talking about the theatre or cinema though. Standing up at football has always happened.

Not for over 10 years it's not.

Ofcourse it has. Just because stadiums are all seater now it doesn't mean people have stopped standing. I know they don't stand up in the West Stand but people do in other parts of the ground. Especially the away end. It's the same when we play away at a lot of places. Some people prefer to stand. And should be given the option imho.

It's mental to stand up when you have a seat. Why do people stand up, what benefit does it bring?

Everyone has a seat now. Doesn't mean everyone wants to sit down though. The benefit it brings is stronger legs. I think everyone under 65 should have to stand up.

That's a really poor answer. The fact is there is no good reason to stand up, some people just like behaving like tossers.

So everyone who used to stand on terraces is a tosser? People have always enjoyed standing up while watching the football. Just because clubs have been forced into having all seater stadiums doesn't mean all supporters want to sit down.
You argumentative tosser.
