Every year we end up away at one of the big sides in the league cup, Paedo cannot afford to fcúk off another cup given there inability to win anything.

Tough Draw, I know Sharps. But given Arsneal in the past, they seem to play a weakened team, full of young players in the carling cup; so we have a chance. Probably more of a chance than todays game. Smiley

Here's who we have played in the league cup in the last ten seasons. We have been "away at one of the big clubs" in 4 of the last 10 seasons, and in one of those, we reached the final.

2010/11 - Southampton, Burnley
2009/10 - Tranmere, West Ham, Chelsea
2008/09 - Northampton Town
2007/08 - Fulham, Manchester City
2006/07 - Walsall, Charlton Athletic
2005/06 - West Ham, Leicester, Wigan
2004/05 - Yeovil, Tottenham
2003/04 - Walsall, Gillingham, Southampton, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough
2002/03 - Bury
2001/02 - Walsall, Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Tottenham

You have to look at the fact that there were 16 teams in the hat including ourselves, all the big clubs have started taking the league cup more seriously over the last 2-3 years (and are thus still in it), you can't expect to get to Wembley without having to play bigger clubs these days. Lets get behind the boys.

When we take it seriously I meant to say, I was not counting Northampton and Burnley.  The Wigan one pissed me off a lot.

I'm not wasting my time going to this after yesterday.

So we'll probably win.

A nice draw for Eddie Davies, he'll make himself some money out of Arsenal's 40,000 supporters.A nice little top up to the interest money he pays himself out of the club

That is one midweek trip where my money will be staying in my pocket. I just can't see him putting anything other than the reserves out in view of our precarious league position.

I actually think we have more chance in the cup than we did yesterday. Arsenal will probably field some youngsters and we'll put out a similar team to the Villa cup game. I'm still not going though.

Yep, we will play our "second" string. We will be far better off.
