I haven't seen any highlights, I have no desire to watch the highlights when we lost miserably. It sounds like things changed for the worse when Davies came on, he seems to have a negative effect on the team these days. The point I wanted to make is that we never used to be rollovers like this. Under Big Sam we used to compete like Stoke do now. We'd be hard to beat, you'd fancy us to cause a shock and either win or draw at the big clubs - can you believe we won at United twice and twice got 2-2 draws at Chelsea. These days there is no point turning up for these games. I really don't know why any of our fans travel to these away games. You could make a tidy sum by starting with £20 and accumulating it on us to lose against teams like City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea every time we play them. I don't think we will go down though and neither do the bookies. We have had a tough start to the season, we all knew we'd probably have 3 points after the first 6 games. On a positive note it was nice to see a change in formation and Kevin Davies dropped. Bring Cahill and Holden into that starting line up and things will improve.

If you didn't bother going and then couldn't be arsed watching any highlights your opinion means very little Malc. You're definitely not Boltons biggest fan.

He's possibly Bolton's most sensible fan.

I suspect there will be plenty of Malc's come Christmas and beyond. I may be one of them if Coyle is still in charge. How long do you have to keep spending money following a team that doesn't give a damn before you give up?

I said at the end of last season I was tempted to stop going every away game.
It's an addiction though.
I won't be going the Emirates again this season though. Fúck that.

Coyle picked the wrong start side, we started badly and it went downhill from there. Ok, so the opening 3 or 4 mins were not too bad. We got to half time with a respectable 0-0 but only 1 goal attempt. I was hoping we could build from there but it was never going to happen after the red card.
I felt as though, at 1-0, or even earlier we needed to make about 6 subs to be in with a chance of getting anything. Thing is, you can only make 3 and one of those was already used for taking inJog off after 20 mins. Thing is we wouldnt have needed to make 6 changes if Coyle had started with the right bunch.
We absolutely need to try another game with Gardner, Holden, Muamba, Kakuta, Boyata and Ngog all in. Probably Bogdan too, oh and Cahill.

I can't understand why Coyle changed the side from Villa, if there was players who were injured then fair enough but we beat a villa side at home who didn't have the weakest of sides out on the night and played very well.
We then go to the emirates on the back of that and Coyle decides to change it for some reason.
Gardner had a great game - dropped for robbo who was always going to get skinned alive by Theo.
Kakuta had a good game - dropped for petrov who has looked decent but unlike kakuta hasn't scored when given the chance.
I really do fear for us this season, chelsea next with a -8 goal difference, things may look a lot worse come this time next week, if that is possible.

I take your point Jay Jaybut Arsenal did not have many attempts on our goal in the first half. Jussi was at fault getting beat at the near post. ( Schoolboy error ). Losing Ngog didn't help matters and the Wheater dismissal was the last straw.

I think we should release Jussi at the end of the season. The guy has gone downhill faster than Eddie the Eagle. He's an absolute liability. Dave - I am Bolton's biggest fan. I am 6'3 and built like a brick shíte house. I agree that I was disappointed to see the team that did so well at Villa totally changed.

Bumnal had 6 attempts I think in the first half. But yes, whilst we had limited attacking options I felt that we could have stepped up a gear. But with the red card and the lack of any attacking threat from Eagles, Petrov, Davies and the midfield we were doomed.

People who didn't attend, or even watch any highlights on television, shouldn't comment on the performance. You didn't miss much though Weststander.

I think it was only concussion, so he should be back for the next match.

I think selling Ali Al-Habsi could be a very big and costly mistake.Jussi can still make some brillient saves, but he makes more errors than he used to do.Our defence does not help him out very much though.

Compared with the Villa game we were awful
SKD might as well have been playing for Arsenal; he has been brilliant for Bolton over the years and will always be a legend but if he carries on like this he will alienate the fans who used to love the guy.
Robinson and Steinson were poor and so was Zat Knight
Seen the sending off again on the MOTD highlights and I think its harsh
With Holden and Cahill back and as long as he gets Ricky in for Robinson and N Gog skd we will be reet
