When Klasnic got sent off yesterday quite a lot of people stood up and clapped him as he left the pitch. Anyone on here one of the clappers? Why would you applaud him after he's gone and got himself sent off and made it even harder for us to get back in the game? What does everyone think?
Quite a lot of people applauded the team at full time as well. Why? It was fúcking rubbish and they didn't deserve to be clapped off the pitch. What does everyone think? Should they have been clapped off by everyone or abused by everyone?
I'm an abuser.

I didn't clap, Dave. I think people clapped Klasnic just because, well, naturally they side with their own players and probably didn't have an up close view of the incident, which led to his dismissall.
Strange but there you go.

I didn't clap or abuse Klasnic to be honest. I didn't see what he'd done at the time and was wondering what was going on.
I did abuse the players at full time though. I would've loved to have been able to go in the dressing room and tell the cúnts to their faces what I thought.

I abused him and called him a rapist that should have been sent down. Clapping him was the last thing on my mind.

A bloke near me stood up and started clapping. When he realised he was on his own he soon sat down.
Some half time abuse did seem to fire up the overpaid clowns for the last 45.

Good post. The reaction by certain sections of the Reebok faithful shows just what is wrong with the modern football fan. Why would you pay £30+ to get in and then clap a bunch of highly paid professionals that played like amateurs? Perhaps if the players got more abuse from both the fans and the manager they'd start to put in a bit of effort. I am sick of these overpaid twats being treated like royalty. They are average players getting paid huge amounts to let us down. And it's the fans that let them get away with it.

Did you clap them off at full time? It looked like the people in the West Stand were applauding them. The ones near the tunnel anyway.

I didn't but there will be some in every stand who feel it's their duty to clap the team off regardless of performance.

You are right with that one dave, I sit in the west stand quite close to the dug out / tunnel and quite a few were clapping at full time for some reason. I just shouted, booed and walked out. As for clapping when Klasnic got sent off, I don't understand it really, we were 2-0 down at home to norwich, he has apparantly head butted the opposition and got himself sent off, which then gives us very little chance of getting anything from the game. Yet some clap......very strange.

I wish I'd been in the West Stand yesterday. I'd have been waiting next to the tunnel and told every player what I thought when they walked off.

Used to be fun when Megson and Evans were there seeing them both frothing at the abuse they got.

I didn't clap or boo him because I didn't know what had happened. After reviewing footage of the incident (watching Match of the Day), I would have liked to abuse the officials. Klasnic put his hand out to offer peace over an earlier incident, the player seemed to elbow him in the stomach, and then the goal machine seemed to nod at him, as if to say "what was that for", and the twat went down like a sack of bloody spuds!

There was contact, he cannot play for 3 games and he should be fined 2 weeks wages.

no I didn't because I thought at the time that he had butted him, He went straight down the tunnel and it looked like he and Coyle never made eye contact, I didn't clap at the end either.
