His decisions were often poor, but what annoys me about him is that he constantly seeks the limelight - and I suspect it affects his judgement. When he played on leading up to the incident when Jussi got booked you could see he was enjoying being "contraversial" - which again put him stage-front. Tosser who fails to remember it's about the footie and not the ref.

He can't give offside if no flag goes up for it. So HE dint get it wrong - maybe the lino did but not the ref.
The lino COULD NOT flag because the player WASN'T offside (active) UNTIL the ref played on!!! |

But the ref only played on after the time when the player was fouled. The offside player touched the ball as he was fouled. At this point the lino should have flagged offside if he saw it. At no point would he have needed to wave the flag for a free kick.
Let me just ask something.... are we talking about the same thing? We both think that the player on the wing who was fouled by Robinson is also the player who you think was off side.
Also, the flag should have gone up at the time the ball was on its way to the wide player, before he touched it. Why?
Because... Offside decision can be given if, "in the opinion of the referee, no other team-mate in an onside position has the opportunity to play the ball."

Nope! When Robbo fouled him. He flagged for Norwich free kick.
Ref played advantage as the ball went forward to a team mate in a promising position.
It was the team mate who was offside!
The ref waived play on to a player in an offside position - which by the laws of the game he can't!
He got it wrong.
It means fcuk all now anyway. Sometimes, not always, but sometimes my continued pushing of a subject is just my sense of humour.  |
