I am asking because most men would not really hang about with one but when trawling through the archive you said in a thread that you have a friend going through gender re-assignment, how did that go?

I used to work in airline security for years. To actually carry out an attack under the current system wouldn't be that difficult and it is by enlarge a token gesture.
The only proven system is that of 'profiling' that was devised by the Israelis and subsequently adopted by the Yanks in a watered down form for international flights (which was oddly enough binned for a kack computer based profiling system shortly after 9/11.

I am all for heightened security at airports in the light of past events but why target the blue rinse brigade ? I see no point in challenging some old dear who is drawing an old age pension as if she could be up to no good. I know the security services are obliged to produce quotas based on equality but it's very rare for our senior citizens to cause havoc and carnage on their travels.

Airport security is rubbish.
I have no intention of bombing anything but if I did I know there are several simple ways to bypass the system. I kind of want to post them just to show you how stupidly obvious they are but I don't want to give any ideas to would be trouble makers.
I think perhaps I should alert the authorities though...? Hmm
