After the QPR match I told you there were holes in our team but almost everyone on here said that the same 11 should continue. While you were all still talking the team up I was looking at our up coming games and starting to worry.

So, did it really have to take us getting a severe beating by Liverpool before you sit up and take notice?

Who should start against the scum?

I was promptly told to "f*ck" myself by one person, and the rest of you agreed.

Not all of us.

So, back to the original question in the title?

Would you put out a much changed side for our next match?

It's Jayjay actually but I'll let you off. (so good I named myself twice and all that)...

Hard to choose at the moment as the emotions are still high. But we really have to address our defence. And actually our midfield comes into that too. To be honest our attack as well, we are offering no threat during games in reality, there is nothing for the midfielders to really provide for...

I am thinking something along the lines of what I said for the City game with 3 in the centre of midfield and Davies up top alone for the first 45. Would love to fit Tuncay in there but I fear it would go wrong to be over ambitious.

I'd make three changes.

MDavies for Muamba, Tuncay for Klasnic and Wheater for Steinsson.

We've seen Wheater at right back just once, and he was poor, granted, but I think he will be a much better match for Young and Evra. Steinsson will get wripped to shreads.

What about Boyata? Could he not go full back?

First Half

Al Habsi (if only)
Boyata Cahill Wheater Robinson
Reo Coker
Eagles Mavies Pratley Petrov
Davies

Second Half

Al Habsi (if only)
Boyata Cahill Wheater Robinson
Eagles Mavies Pratley Petrov
Tuncay Klasnic

...and if some transfers go through we would maybe have Ngog and SWP, but no Cahill...

Who would we pick then?

I feel like we still need another defender to be strong enough, on top of Boyata (and I don't mean stood on his head).

Al Habsi (if only)
Boyata Cahill Wheater Robinson
Reo Coker
SWP Mavies Pratley Petrov
NGOG

While the performance yesterday was pants, do you honestly think Coyle has the money to buy players to compete with City, United & Liverpool?

I expect to lose to these teams, I just don't like the way heads go down so quickly after letting in a goal. However, if we beat the likes of QPR, Swansea, Norwich, Wigan, Rovers etc we'll be fine.

Just fcuk off you wanker. Three goals in three games and you want to drop him!!

If Klasnic keeps his place he'll score 20 goals this season.

You can afford to carry Klasnic in games against the crap sides but it doesn't help having a passenger against the top clubs.

still he shouldn't be dropped.

Eagles should make way for Tuncay and Mark Davies for Muamba; Pratley deserves a run out as well.

If Klasnic plays shite all season and scores 20 goals we'll stay up comfortably.

I said he shouldn't be dropped but it also doesn't help having a passenger in games against the top clubs.

you need every player at it.

I don't agree. Players that score as regularly as Klasnic are like gold dust. No one ever slagged Gary Lineker off for not contributing enough.

I'm not a stats man, but if we're going to talk stats I'd be interested to know how many times Klasnic gave the ball to a Liverpool player yesterday.

Its not rocket science....a player gives the ball to an opposing player and the opposing team have posession of the ball and they then have the opportunity to take the ball up to the other end of the field and score a goal for themselves.

3 goals in 3 he may have (though I would add that one of them was probably more of an own goal) but how many goals does his style of play cost us. Its impossible to put a definite number on that (we have only conceded six goals in the last two matches against top sides, but it shouldn't be forgotten that it could easily have been twelve.) but scoring goals should be merely one of a centre forwards given tasks. It disappoints me that a usually very intelligent and diplomatic lady like yourself should turn a blind eye to this concept.

Klasnic should be the 1st name on the team sheet. He scores goals end of and like natasha says if he plays week in week out he could hit the 20 mark.

Id of thought most of us would have seen enough of strikers who run around all day but couldnt score in a brothel..

Klasnic offers more than goals too.  That pass to Muamba against QPR was excellent.

Things really are bad if we're blaming strikers for our crap defence.

Klasnic does very little during games, but he scores goals. You can't win any football game at any level without scoring goals.

You're a bit silly if you think Klasnic should be dropped, and I doubt you'll find any support for your theory.

This is how i've solved all our problems and given us the opportunity to win trophies.

Steinner ---- Cahill ---- Traffic Cone ----- Robbo

-----------NRC------------Holden----------

-----Tuncay ------M.Davies----------Petrov

Equally you can't win football matches without being able to defend goals.

I don't particularly care how many people do or do not support my theory. Its the first sign of a weak debater, referring to the number people that agree with you.

We're very lucky to have found a natural scorer in Klasnic. I couldn't care less how often he doesn't chase back or tackle, give him the ball in space or in the box and watch him deliver. First name on teamsheet.
