Rangers out of the Champions League against Malmo a few weeks ago and now out of the Europa League against Maribor, Celtic out to a Swiss team and Hearts battered by Spurs.
Scottish football is getting worse and worse with every year and with no money and no interest in their league the future looks really bleak for Scottish clubs. It is embarrassing how even the only two big clubs Rangers and Celtic only can buy championship players like Commons, Hooper, David Healy, etc - I remember the days they could sign players like Gazza, Laudrup, Di Canio, Sutton, etc.
I feel sorry for Ally McCoist, he is a top man but he seems to be struggling badly with management.
What is the future for Scottish football now?

If they get independence, I guarantee you that place will be like Mad Max, the Thunderdome before I draw my pension.

Independence is not popular up here for obvious reasons.

But Rangers and Celtic are huge clubs in terms of big fan base, they are suffering very much simply because they are stuck in a league which is crippling them. I don't know what they can do about their situation.
I think this story is getting a lot of coverage because it is a new low for Scottish football.

That's a pretty big thing to ignore when you're talking about a country.

I think it says it all when Birmingham, a team that has had a depleted squad due to relegation and financial constraints have gone through and yet the two biggest clubs in another league have failed.

They have a big fan base because Glasgow is a big city like Manchester and there's enough bellends that buy into the religious aspects of the two utterly shíte football clubs.

the football is GARBAGE. I've been to highland league games with 100 people and it's like watching people playing for the first time who've come from space.

The premier league crowds are non existent you get 13k at Hearts - in context are a big club.

6 thousand watched Inverness play Rangers - tells it's own story.

Scottish people are more likely to be carrying a knife than an English person. This is a real fact. I don't want to get stabbed.

Jokes aside im just trying to work out what people don't like about scottish cities.

i was sceptical at first but Edinburgh especially is a great city IMO.

way way better than pretty much all the English cities i've been to/lived in.
