Ok, don't want to risk being called an "Amos", but.....

Arrested at Stoke City whilst at a Stoke v Sunderland game when I was in the RAF, for "incitement". Was pi$$ed as a fart so no idea what the "Incitement" even was. Was kept locked up until about 8pm, and then released without charge, and even better my Sunderland supporting work colleagues had waited in Stoke for me and we had to sleep on Nuneaton station on the way back as we missed the last train through to Peterborough. Managed to sink several more beers before that though :-)

Arrested in Bolton along with three mates after we left Sparrows. Got nicked at the Taxi rank by the Pack Horse. Accused of robbing the conservative club. Basically, it had been broken into and some booze had been nicked. Fortunately for us, we were drinking Newcastle Brown, and they didn't even sell it, but we still spent a night in the cells. I think demanding to speak to Burnside didn't do us any favours there with hindsight.

Arrested in Albrighton whilst in the RAF for "urinating in a public place". Left the pub and needed a slash halfway back to base. Only got a caution, but was fined 10 quid by the RAF for bringing them into disrepute. 10 quid was a lot back then in 82. Also got two weeks "jankers" for that.

Several more "Arrests" whilst in the RAF, but they don't really count. You could get arrested for breathing if you upset the wrong people.

Luckily in Bavaria, the rozzers are more interested in nicking Ossies and Turks than English people !

I got arrested by the RMP once. They took me to a base that had cells to lock me up for the night. Nobody else had been arrested that night so they had to phone somebody up to come out and watch the cells for the night just because of me. When the guy turned up it was only a díckhead who I'd nearly had a scrap with the week before. He wasn't impressed. Quite funny though.

Five grand is the going settlement for wrongful arrest. If you've got a half decent case then they don't even argue it.

Could of gone someways to getting that tenner back.

That sounds interesting, please expand.

I was about 16, cant even remember who we were playing but Derby rings a bell.  I got chucked out for being pissed up and ballooning at the away fans, so walked down to the opposite end of the stand and paid at the turnstile to get back in, got chucked out for again being a pissed up minor and walked to the Lever End and paid in there.  Like an idiot I stumbled along the front to the same corner I had just been moved from, was spotted by the same bloke who promptly had me chucked out again. I walked home then.

Who cares about all that Barry.

What did Sharps get arrested for? You must know.

Stabbing motions to Blackpool fans.  Gaylord shíte himself and sung like a canary, pleaded guilty to everything they charged him with.  Idiot didnt even see a solicitor.

Over 1,000 people have been arrested this week for various crimes during the rioting. My question for the people of Burnden Aces is have you ever been arrested for anything?

yes

This one was early nineties and before the culture of getting solicitors involved in everything. To be honest it didn't even cross my mind at the time. More than happy to just not get a kicking from the Desk Sergeant for asking to speak to Burnside. The arresting coppers found it funny, the Desk Sergeant not so, maybe that is why my recorded interview took place at about 5 in the morning. The duty solicitor didn't seem too impressed either, but by then they must have already known the drinks we had could not have come from the Connie club, and a few hours later we all got released without charge.

Didn't Reg Hollis get outed in one of the Sunday papers for being into so fairly sordid S & M saga?

He's changed a bit since those days by the look of it..............

No, being drunk, we weren't rational, so, an empty one. To be used as a seat.

Well, we were students.

They let us out as 4am to find our own way home

I was lucky that I didn't have a record, wouldn't have been useful in my career. Thanks, Plod!
