Some people are blaming kids, others are blaming the parents and some people are blaming the police for the riots we've seen. I saw one guy on the news in Salford yesterday blaming Polish people for taking our jobs. My opinion is the kids involved are out of control little bastards and you've got to blame the parents for that in most cases.

I don't really blame them but you hear that phrase on the news all day long. I blame the chav culture lack of education + parents who have the same shitty attitude as their kids.

I heard it was Megson who shot Hacksaw Jim Duggan and that kicked it off.

I blame the infidel Westerners who alliance themselves to the US. Long live the revolution!
In reality I blame the Conservatives of the Thatcher and Major - for sending this country to the dogs. Then Labour under Cheshire Cat Blair and Smug Brown was no better either

No decent leadership since Thatcher was PM
No decent police leadership
The country in general has become soft in relation to most issues and this has just snowballed over a period of time.
I found it interesting that the only communities that stood up as collectively to the looters were from foreign nationals (Turks and Indians being the ones I am aware of). Noone knows thier neighbours anymore in the bigger towns/cities and, more importantly, no one cares.

That isn't totally true. I saw large groups of white men patrolling the streets where they live on the news.

I've only seen the news once or twice tbh. I heard some Millwall fans gave some of them a shoeing, but that was as much as an excuse for a bit of a row with good intent rather than any real sense of community (and well done them for doing it).

I think the ones I saw on the news were in Enfield. Loads of them walking round with cans of lager. They said they'd make a citizens arrest if they spotted any looters or rioting.
They looked like a gang of thugs looking for a brawl tbh.

It's mostly down to the parents of these chavs but you shouldn't underestimate the impact of John Amos stealing £250k from Manchester City Council. If that £250k hadn't been stolen these chavs might not have had their benefits cut.

Did you see that 12 year old lad in Manchester today? I'm surprised he showed any remorse having seen his mother/slag. I'm not aware of the sins of the father, but did his dad ever pay it back?

I saw the little bastard. Can't say I'm surprised he has a Mum like that. She was probably in the pub while he was out rioting.

I just hope that Manchester City Council, or Salford City Council, carry out their threat and expell the family from the council house!

I feel as though the parents a largely to blame, obviously they haven't been loving enough on their kids. That being said, I feel like if Londoners had more guns and defended their property with them, there would be less of an issue with such looting.

I'm not sure what that will achieve to be honest. Good idea in theory but they'll only end up getting a council house somewhere else. They can't make people totally homeless even if they deserve it.

You do know that having a firearm is an offence? But, you're right because everybody'll be dead.

Just saying, people would be alot more hesitant to loot a store if there was a significant chance they would get shot, half the people doing this are doing it because it seems to have minimal consequences.

I don't disagree. Problem with everyone having guns, like in America, is certain crime will go down but the murder rate will go crazy.

citizens owning firearms has never stopped a riot from starting in any country that I am aware of However it has stopped looting in several cases look at the riots in Los Angeles several years ago groups banded together to protect there community and effectively ended the riots
Try to look at it all with a open mind
