Southport is nice for an impromptu drive out of a sunny afternoon - apart from all the inevitable pissing about in traffic on Lords Street.

I'm not a fan of Blackpool one bit. My grandmother had a caravan in Morecambe which were always nice but it just went completely downhill in the space of a year or two - they knocked down Frontierland and that big hotel and the whole place became somewhat of a dead eyesore.

For a week or weekend away I like Cornwall (Looe, Newquay, Falmouth and a few others that I can't think of the name of) and North Wales (Porthmadog and Abersoch).

They're all good, if they help to get you to somewhere nice.
