Im useless on just about every instrument, i could probably get playing the triangle wrong in some way Got Red Light Company's album and its pretty good, plenty of good songs on there so well worth a listen. Been listening to the Rakes new album aswell, thats alright but there's not enough good songs on there IMO, maybe it'll grow on me but atm im not a huge fan.

Since its that time of year, anyone going to any festivals this year? I know loads of people who are going to Leeds but i couldnt be fussed with all the hassle of getting tickets and the £200 cost of whatever it is although the line up is good: http://www.leedsfestival.com/lineup/index.aspxV Festival seems to have a pretty good line up aswell this year: http://www.vfestival.com/lineup/ but its another one i dont think i can be bothered with. The one i would be interested in going to is the Isle of Wight since they have a decent line up too and its cheaper than the other two. Didnt know owt about it myself but my mate mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and it got me interested so might head to that if i can get enough money for it! Line up for that: http://www.isleofwightfestival.com/lineup.aspxSo, anyone else going to or thinking of going to any?

I'm not going to any but I've always wanted to do Glastonbury one year. I thought it was amazing in 2007 but last year's was terrible IMO.
With them not announcing the line up I've left it alone this year.

I want to go to Glastonbury at some point too, difficult to get tickets though i guess and its like the most expensive of the lot so will wait a few years before i achieve that goal.

I don't think I'll be off to any this summer! Just the Oasis gig for me but I must say the line up for the Leeds festival looks awesome - some quality bands there!
Glastonbury would be the mother of all gigs so hopefully I will get the chance to go in the future!

Anyone got the Enemy's new album? Its pretty good, definatly worth a listen.
Ive also taken too listening to Pete Doherty's new album which, although not as good as his Libertines and Babyshambles stuff, isnt too bad.

Not a huge green day fan but The Enemy's album will hopefully be something pretty special - Nothing will overcome Oasis though.

Quite like Marmaduke Duke's new song. Only a couple of minutes long but it's easy listening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN3w-YjNqPUThe guy on vocals is Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro, who some may have heard of before. I've pinned this thread aswell to help it get a bit more exposure.

I wondered where I had heard his voice, and that will be it!
I quite like the song, like you said Manny - easy listening and also quite catchy.
I'm off to see Oasis in 12days, that is the only music running through my mind as well as Kasabian!

Lucky bastard Id never heard of Marmaduke Duke but that song it pretty good, easy listening as you both said. Maximo Park's new album is good too, similar to their first album which was ace in my opinion so the new ones well worth a listen.

Just got Paolo Nutini's new album, Sunny Side Up. He seems to have moved on alot from his first album (if any of you listened to that) and his band is much more apparent, its quite good and if you liked his first album you'll probably like this one, even if it is quite abit different. The first song released off it is called Candy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW5iKuP6G20

Rosario Dawson 8 Vlad The Impaler 9 Ladies & Gentlemen (Roll The Dice) 10 Secret Alphabets 11 Fire 12 Happiness The first track is really, really good! Check it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5up8kJoCsJMOther good tracks are Fire, Vlad The Impaler and Happiness is supposed to be a good ending - not heard the rest. Nice to see new albums from Kasabian & Arctics two of my favourite bands! All we need now is another Oasis release in 2010.

Yes they do! I am eagerly anticipating the Arctics album because I get the feeling it could be pretty experimental so be interesting to see how I find it! Kasabian album seems to be very Oasis-esque (90's era) so it will have me gripped in an instant because you may not have guessed but I am very, very obsessed with Oasis.

I don't know why but I'm not one of these Oasis fanatics! I do like their VERY successful songs, who doesn't, but I wouldn't listen to their back catalogue.
Saying that, I got their last album and thought it was above average.

Yeah I am the fanatical one! Got all their albums, most of B-sides & covers and I'm in the process of getting the DVD's
I think I have took it past an obsession though - I am buying some of Liam Gallaghers new clothing range, Pretty Green.
Last album was pretty decent - some really good tunes but I like Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000) at the moment because of the very physcadelic feel - its quite like a Beatles album and I would suggest it to anyone!

Just had a quick look on iTunes at the new Kasabian album and noticed that Fast Fuse is on there. I don't know how clued up people are about Kasabian, but I heard that song about 2 years ago, no exaggeration! Surely they can't get away with that!
