Idea basicly taken from TW who have a thread that has reached like over 100 pages so thought id see how one goes on here. What sort of stuff are you all listening to at the moment?

Ive recently downloaded new albums from The View and The Rifles which are both pretty good and got the album from White Lies aswell which is worth a listen. Still like listening to stuff from Coldplay and the Stereos aswell as Oasis, James and Blur which just never get old. One thing thats annoying me at the moment is that i dont seem able to stop listening to Glasvegas, even though i dont actually like them all that much Huh

I also dont like the fact that i cant find Joshua Radin's cover of Sesame Street of Scrubs anywhere apart from on YouTube. This is the song incase anyone thinks im abit mentle for wanting it cos its actually quite amazing IMO:

Chilling out to a few old ones tonight. Got some Lostprophets on, Hard-Fi, Arctics.

Top of my iPod at the moment are The Killers, Kings of Leon, Oasis, a band called The Infedels and for some reason I've taken quite a shine to Katy Perry!

Not listened to them for a bit but also like a bit of Snow Patrol, Pigeon Detectives, Foo Fighters etc. Not really hard to guess what sort of music I'm into then.

Ever heard of any of these eh Sluffy?  Grin

You seem to be into pretty much the same kinda music as me then, you obviously have good taste Grin (well apart from the Katy Perry stuff Shocked Wink)

I can see this being a thread that goes a little over Sluffy's head Grin

I didn't like the "Kissed A Girl" song but the two singles since then have been pretty good I think. Don't really have a clue what's going on in the charts tbh, it's all the same stuff! I think Lily Allen is number 1 with the first and last half decent song she'll ever do.

Ive only actually listened to 'Kissed a Girl' and 'Hot N Cold' but didnt like either of them so havent put myself through having to listen to anymore.

I never pay attention to the charts anymore, they dont really show what most people are actually listening to due to most people downloading their music these days so it always just ends up with a load of crap at the top, ie that Xfactor butchering of Hallelujah at Christmas Angry

I will listen to anything really. Indie, Rap, Dance and some Rock! I am not too fussed. I prefer lyrics rather than a tune, I like the song to either mean something or have good use of metaphors.

Got the favourites though Oasis of course! Kings of Leon, Klaxons, Last of the Shadow Puppets, U2 &  Iglu & Hartley. I do like the Lily Allen number 1, I think she has got a few more decent tunes in here like this one.

Klaxons! Now they're a band I've not heard of for a while. What happened to them!? The same goes for The Enemy, though I've heard they're recording a new album.

Yeah the Enemy have a new album out in April, looking forward to that. Was hoping to go and see them in June as they're supporting Oasis at Heaton Park which i was supposed be going to but i have a bloody English exam scheduled at the same time so rather gutted about that.

Dont think Klaxons have done much since their album in 2007, ive not even seen any tours or owt from them and i usually have an eye on Ticketmaster or See so hopefully they'll be back with some new stuff soon.

Maximo Park are supposed to have a new album out later this year too so i cant wait for that, thats one band ill definatly be going seeing this year. Wouldnt mind going seeing the Courteeners either as i saw them supporting Coldplay at the MEN and they're pretty good live so will hopefully get to one of their gigs.

Are you at school Danny or college because I am taking my GCSE's in June but fortunately I could get a ticket for the Sunday Oasis concert and have no exams the next day!

Klaxons haven't done much but I suspect they will release an album soon.

Yeah, take it your in year 11 too then. We got tickets for the thursday as we were too late for the weekend gigs and we were just praying that we had no exams that thursday afternoon. But it wasnt to be, so it was either fail English to go and see Oasis or give the gig a miss and sit our exams Sad

Yeah, final year! And that is unlucky I remember when they told us the dates I was hoping for the Monday off and luckily I got it so now Bolton will probably go down because I am out of luck.

Unlucky! My exams are over and done with by the middle of May. Not going to see Oasis though. Spend all my money watching the Whites and the rest on beer!

You think the break is good but it isn't! Being at uni, you finish mid May and you're off until the start of October.

Nearly 5 months off sounds good, but it gets so boring! Especially if you spend all summer job hunting, but not actually having one!

Restaurants are the best places really, but the only place I don't want to work!

With they way the economy is at the moment, you'll find it hard to get something and once you do, there's no guarantee at how long it will last.

After 18 months out of work I got something in November but was laid off a week after the New Year. You can't win!

My last exam is the 19th with my Leavers Do on the 24th Danny. I'm in exactly the same both on the job front, going to need the money after my exams but hard getting a job. Might have to try Tesco Sad.

Not decided on a college yet either going to one in Preston or Leyland though!

Heard a couple Late of the Pier songs a few months ago and was quite impressed. Never really looked into them any further though.
