I have declared to my girlfriend that I am going to Magaluf with my mates next June for 10 days as I want to and she cannot stop me, I have made a reasonable and rational request to her but she still seems to think that we should be going on family holidays together. My point was that a holiday with 2 small children would not exactly be fun and we would spend most of the time making sure the kids are within 2 inches of us.
I shall keep you all posted but I shall not move.

You need to compromise here and make her feel like she's getting something aswell. Tell her she can go Blackpool with her mates for the day. Fair deal imo.

I've got some good Magaluf stories. The place itself is a shithole but if you're young and want to get wasted with loads of slags its alright for a week or two.
