I have noticed in my forced break from Burnden Aces that people have comments to make about the forum which means they obviously lurk but for whatever reason choose not to contribute.

So any lurkers reading this, feel free to dive in and contribute.

PS. Yes I am bored.

Very true. There are more guest lurkers on here than members at this moment in time.

I would guess that most people who post on any BWFC forum probably look around other forums as well.

Some people will post on any forum but quite a lot stick to posting mainly on their 'home' forum.

Everyone is welcome on here (providing you're not trying to fcuk us over like some have done in the past), whether you post or not.

It would however be interesting if people who don't post on here could contact me in some way - either on this thread or by personal message - to tell me what you may not like about this site (and perhaps is putting you off posting) - as perhaps we could make a few changes that would make it better for everyone’s enjoyment.

Thank you in advance to anyone who does go to the trouble of contacting me.

A different celebrity mod each week would spice things up.

I'd like to suggest Larry David goes first.

I once heard Jack Charlton talk about who was the better player, him or his brother Bobby (anyone under the age of 40 may need to look up who the hell I'm talking about!).

Jack instantly said it was Bobby, as he was a forward and as such had to 'create' chances (which not everyone can do) whereas he, as a defender, simply had to try to 'stop' them - which everyone (to some degree or other) could do.

Being a mod is really about stopping things (removing shite mostly) that anyone with even only half a brain can do (probably why Manny give me the job in the first place!).

Obviously it is Manny's site but if anyone wanted to try their hand at modding on here then let us know (either in this thread or by pm) and perhaps something can be arranged.

Be warned though, some people don't half take things seriously on the web and there are some out there who are still bearing grudges over stuff I did two years ago!

I'd say I've become a bit more of a lurker in recent weeks but that's because there's so little going on over the summer so far football-wise that there really is not much that grabs my attention. I think Coyle needs to make some slurs about our rivals in the press for shíts and giggles, just to give us a change from the latest club Cahil is "definitely" joining but won't.

I'd rather walk round Breightmet with a nail in my shoe. I wouldn't do the job for a gold clock. The moderators on here do a sterling job and I don't really think there is any need for any more moderators. Sluffy puts in an awful lot of his own time on this board and doesn't always get the credit he deserves. Posters are often too quick to complain and they forget that people give up their own time to keep things ticking over.

I'm quite lucky being self-employed for Mr Gadd but I do enjoy my holidays and I don't bother with computers when I am on R & R  which is quite often..

My hand is fine. Try typing while you are wearing a fickle finger! It's a blinking nightmare!
