I reckon the best few women in this woman's world cup could play in the SPL or maybe league 2 I agree but I think a lot of these players would look a fish out of water in pub football.
But I do agree that women's football is just not a big thing in this country. Girls don't play it at school (well they didn't when I was there), girls never seemed to play it for fun with their friends, there seems to be very few women's clubs, no real coaching, etc - its the same with England and skiing and tennis, its just not played by the vast majority of people.

You're right they probably could play in the SPL actually. Not our League 2 though.

While you may have a low opinion of the SPL, there's no way that any woman in the world would be able to hack it in that league.

It was a joke. By me anyway. I reckon they're serious.

Another incredible handball in women's football happened again today in the Australia game but this time the referee never gave a penalty. Absolutely bizarre, it makes a mockery of the women's game when something like happens and no penalty.

Just another example of women not knowing the rules. What was she thinking catching the ball like that?

Players seemed incapable of passing the ball just 10 yards under no pressure to each other. The strikers kept fluffing their shots, spooning them miles wide. It really was like watching a bunch of beginners playing in the park.

So you finally got down to the Reebok for one of our last few games?

Saw second half onwards today, thought the two goals were good, but France deserved to win.

I saw bits of the game today and to be honest it was worse than sunday league.

The goalkeepers are fcuking terrible and the players rarely passed a ball over 10 yards that found it's target.......sounds very much like an away game watching bolton to be quite honest.

Say what you want about the general standard of play but the save @ 4:00 is brilliant.
