Hope he does goes there and throws a massive sulk!

Blackburn manager Steve Kean is targeting Emmanuel Adebayor as he jets home from India today armed with a £30million warchest.

Kean has spent the last five days discussing his summer spending plans with owners Venky's and they have approved all the names on his hit-list.

Kean's top priority is signing a big-name striker and Adebayor tops the list, along with Roma's Mirko Vucinic and Amauri of Juventus.

Manchester City are desperate to offload Adebayor, just two years after splashing out £25million to sign him from Arsenal.

Real Madrid failed to exercise the option to make his loan spell permanent before Monday's deadline.

City may now accept as little as £10m for Adebayor, with manager Roberto Mancini adamant he does not want the player back at their Carrington base for pre-season training.

He would be a cheaper option than Vucinic as Roma are demanding £16million for the Montenegro international, who is also a target for Juventus.

Kean intends to be busy this summer and is also eyeing up Aston Villa's James Collins and Birmingham's Roger Johnson to replace Manchester United new boy Phil Jones.

Rovers have also tried to hijack Miranda's free-agent switch from Brazilian champions Sao Paulo to Atletico Madrid by offering to double his wages, but the Brazilian defender is expected to honour his pre-contract agreement with the Spanish outfit.

Another option is Diego Novaretti, an Argentine defender playing for Mexican side Toluca who has been offered to Blackburn.

Blackburn are also vying with Sunderland to sign Sebastian Larsson, the Swedish winger who is a free agent after seeing out his contract with Birmingham.

Not a chance. They couldn't afford his wages.

They are at it again with the marquee headlines. Did they not learn from the whole Beckham, Ronaldinho fiasco that went last transfer window? I suppose Venkys are doing a great job of advertising their brand though, which of course is the whole point to all this crap. They will be no better than average next season.

If the Venky's are daft enough to pay his wages then they are welcome to him.

As Mr Venky said, when he bought Blackburn, ' You can't make a chicken salad out of chicken shíte.'

I've heard rumours this shower of inbred bastards and pixies are now going for Heskey. Now that one I can believe.

According to the media - Emmanuel Adebayor last night dealt Blackburn a humiliating snub - insisting he does not want to fight relegation battles.  Grin

He obviously has ability but would rather try to make as much money out of the game as possible than achieve anything, how somebody can look so not arsed at City and then run around chasing back at Madrid is mind boggling.

Blackburn could never offer him more money than Citeh because if they could then he would be off, relegation battle or not.

It doesn't take much does it.  I can think of at least six reasons for why this may have been the case (that's 6, the number of digits you have on each hand).
