Anyone watching this on Channel 4 at 9pm ?  I watched the last series and it was quite an eye opener watching her trying to motivate the sick, lame and lazy back into work.

She comes across as an overweight patronising cow but the real stars of the show are the great unwashed who have been living off benefits for years. Well worth a watch to see how the other half live.

I watched it once last year. The woman used her methods to get a never been employed woman a job at Currys in East London.
It wouldn't work for everyone who is out of work though even if she got every job seeker highly motivated because there are less job vacancies than there are unemployed people.

Scouse Dave doesn't put Liverpool in a good light. She treats him to Fish and Chips and next morning he phones in sick with the Squitters!  Grin

This ' Fly on the wall ' series should be compulsory viewing!

Job Interviewee, ' Dave, do you have any particular weaknesses ? '

Dave,  ' Sugar diabetes'   Grin

Brilliant TV.

Dave goes for a job as a fruit packer.

Interviewer, ' Do you think you will like the job ?'

Dave, ' As long as I don't have to do any heavy lifting.'

Interviewer, ' Do you have a bad back?'

Dave, ' I have a hernia and sugar diabetes.'   Grin

I am sure the producers of The Royle family used Dave as the template for the Jim Royle character!

It's not as good as last week but it's still a good example of how the other half live. That Fairy Godmother actually comes across as very insincere in her one to ones.

The old guy was a former lab technician. He is only fifty. He must have had a hard life!

All's well that ends well. On the plus side for me I can now cross Hartlepool off my list of places that I will ever feel the need to visit.

The young girl at the Gym only got 16 hours per week. At £6.50 an hour she is hardly going to be raking it in. Her partner got a full time job as a kitchen porter so they should be OK.

Your a sick man Squidgy.

Why thank you.

And that woman who does the Hotel Inspector while I'm on the subject. She looks like she's had a few up her back passage in her time.
