Oasis - two good (albeit slightly copycat) albums in the early 90s and they are "the most important band in British music history since The Beatles". Since then, they've been making mediocre record after mediocre record - all equally predictable and one dimensional, yet they continue to slate anybody new to the industry with fresh ideas.
Blur - never released a weak album in my opinion...and they were diverse. They wrote as many brilliant ballads as they did hard rock anthems. You've also gotta love the Britishness of their stuff, particularly the second to the fourth albums.
Their styles make them not all that easy to compare, but everybody's gotta have a preference.
I think theres only one way that the poll is going - Oasis are definitely the easier to get into in the first place, but it should still make for a good debate.

Dan, Can't stand those pair of blue Manc 'two hats.' Their first album was OK but then Liam started spouting shite as if he was the second coming. He is a greasy haired Guinness swilling peasant who needs a fcuking good wash and a shave and a month in detox. Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and Snow patrol are more my scene. I also like The Script, now those Paddies know their onions.

Liam hasn't a single redeeming quality about him whatsoever. (You've gotta love Peter Kay if only for that brilliantly timed line at the Brit Awards.) Noel comes across at times as down to earth and very switched on and you find yourself wanting to like him, but he lets himself down with a ) his bitter twisted comments about other (often perfectly good) artists and b ) his arrogance about his own music. I wouldn't care as much if Oasis were even half as special as he makes out.

Noel is clearly the more intelligent of the pair. He wrote most of the lyrics and clearly has a creative artistic streak. Liam is a piss head with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. What Patsy Kensit saw in him is beyond me.

' So what attracted you to the millionaire, Paul Daniels ?' There really is only one answer to that question.

The Rolling Stones music has stood the test of time. Anyone remember, ' I can't get no sex in Ashton ? '
Jumping Jack Flash was my favourite.
