Paul Scholes retires

Manchester United's Paul Scholes has ended his playing career, aged 36.

Midfielder Scholes made his United debut in 1994, making 676 appearances, and will now join the coaching staff.

His retirement came after he helped the club win a record 19th league title, the 10th of his career, and his last game was Saturday's Champions League final loss to Barcelona.

Didn't like him but he's one of the few DMBs who I can remotely stand. He was a quality player, and not one that felt the need to shoot his mouth off every week or get his face in the tabloids every week because he has a new phone or car or slag on his arm. They'll do very well if they find or groom another player like him - and need to start doing so if they ever want to close the gap on Barcelona.
