Just interested.

Most people I know have said "no", as they believe that they have done a million and one things to help someone in the past and are yet to receive any kind of recognition for their actions.

But doesn't that kind of defeat the object of it? I mean, you're "expecting" something good to come out of your action, doesn't really make that action "kind, does it?" (Probably the wrong word)

I'd like to think there is but I really don't know at this point.

You’re describing the My Name Is Earl  version of Karma, in which good actions have good consequences in this life and vice-versa.  My understanding is that it doesn’t work this way, and the reward or punishment for your actions comes in the next life.

I don’t really believe in Karma, but it sure makes a lot more sense than spending an eternity in hell for 70 years of minor screwups.

No good deed ever goes unpunished. Don't hate the people who hurt you and don't hurt the people who love you. That's what karma is all about.

Life's full of swings and roundabouts.

It's bollocks to say it all balances itself out in the long run.

Saddam, Osama, Adolf and Des Lyttle all got what they deserved in the end. What more evidence do you need?
