Following on from the apprentice post, has anyone been watching The Hotel on Channel 4 on Sunday evenings ? I must confess I am quite taken with it. There are some right characters on display. We have the eccentric upper crust owner, Lord Wildtrousers, the Head Chef, Cyril who is a ' Willie Nelson Gay Biker on Acid ' type. The alcoholic Polish kitchen porter, Kuko who sleeps in the basement and earns £175 a week. The hotel manager who lives in a static caravan behind the hotel with his dog.
All in all I can recommend this fly on the wall documentary as a good example of how the other half live.

Did anybody watch it tonight ? Bloody brilliant episode centred on Amos. ( If I didn't know better I would say the script was written by Burnden Aces! )
It turns out Amos never knew his father and has struggled with relationships with the opposite sex.
Amos, " Is very difficult when you find girlfriend is not understand you. "
A pair of really creepy bible bashing god botherers tried to convert Amos to Christianity! You couldn't make it up.

I didn't know that these kind of people still existed. Why did they pretend someone was using their shower ? Bizarre. The Angel lady was another odd fish. More Dogfish than Dover Sole. |

Quite a good final episode to wrap things up. The three Barmpots from the Isle of Man were as creepy as fcuk. Why travel to the Lake District to look for inspiration ? I would have thought a decent Hairdresser should have been their first port of call. Extremely odd the three of them were. Thank Christ I don't have the misfortune to live next door to them.
