1-1 final score.

Absolute criminal refereeing decision for the penalty.

Maybe when Marado's sobered up he could post a clip of it to show everyone just how bad it was.

If it had happened over here it would be in all the papers.

The ref was stood next too and face on to the dive - the player wasn't even close to being touched - clear, clear dive - yet penalty given.

It stinks.

Perhaps our refs aren't that bad after all.

I wouldn't go quite as far as to say that!

It really was a shocking decision.

I can't believe he didn't know it was a dive.

I hope Marado can find a clip so you can see it.

Looked like the ref took a bribe to me.

I can't believe the Benfica fans didn't riot.

I can only assume the incident was not shown on the electronic scoreboards in the ground.

It was a SCANDAL!!! The REF was 1,5 meters away, no one blocking is view, Yebda didn't touch Lisandro! And the SOB points to the penalty spot!! Another week talking only about this Referee scandal decision in the sport journal.
DI Maria in the 88th minute should of passed the ball to Aimar on the left, but preferred to driblle 3 opponents then to loose the ball .. SELFISH SOB

Looks like the ref has fallen for it. The attackers left his left in a little bit and just thrown himself to the floor. Poor poor decision!

The media (Sport newpaper) also controlled by the "System" of the Oliveira Brothers to benefit Porto:

Titles:

Abola : Lisandro dougout the penalty that saved Porto from defeat.

Ojogo: Error Confirms Leader

Record: Ref invents penalty

And that's it! Only Record made the "True" title and i must say everyone is astonished. But in the rest of the articles they practically don't even talk about it.

Some former ref, stated in the press that he couldn't of called for a penalty, cause Yebda doesn't grasp him or grab him.

This has happened week after week, i must say that Benfica have been stolen about 10 points with mistakes made by Ref's.

And these SOB still want to become professional with this kind of work! They already win 1,250€ just to work a game + transport fee + eating fees. We need Pierluigi Colina to come here and teach our Refers the professions

I'm sure Everton fans would agree with that!  Grin

Delay in arrival of the Dragon People
Benfica calls the action of the PSP porto

Benfica formalized this Monday a request to the Superintendent Francisco Oliveira Pereira - National Director of the PSP - and sent a copy to the Minister of Home Affairs in order "to investigate the ostensibly discriminatory action that was undertaken by the Porto PSP "when the classic between FC Porto and Benfica, in place of the Dragon Stadium.

For the voice of the director of communication, John Gabriel, the club withdrew the light of the fact that around 2,500 fans who went to that theater only have come within the same when the game was about to reach the interval. "It is incomprehensible that a journey that normally takes 20 to 30 minutes to do, was done in an hour and thirty minutes."
"In the preparatory meeting of the game, during the last week, was sent to officials of the PSP, our desire to ensure full reciprocal treatment to members and supporters of Benfica, compared to what was given to those who came from FC Porto in the game the first round, particularly as regards the time of entry into the stadium, "continued. "It has been assured that our concerns would be forwarded to the Command Porto Police."

What is certain is that this will not happen, according to the FC and with the testimonies of many fans not benfiquistas silent revolt in his return to Lisbon.
"It was a gratuitous and completely unnecessary situation, taken with a single purpose: to delay where possible to enter the stadium. The PSP is a national, regardless of their command," said John Gabriel, based on the document sent by Luís Filipe Vieira to Francisco Oliveira Pereira.
"Note that it is mentioned in the document that" this not only degenerated into violence, as evidenced by the exemplary conduct of the Liverpool fans. "

Ah, nothing about the penalty then.

Well I guess you know now that when you play from now on that Benfica will have eleven players and your opponents twelve (one of them will have a whistle!)

No penalty in the statement, it was all about the scandalous way the Benfica supporters where treated, there where even some that were told to take off there shoes on the wet cement in front of the stadium and most of them only entered the stadium after and between half-time, all of the media are talking about it, so it's better off that we try and fight the system on the pitch and led the media have there field day.

You mean 11 against 14... the linesmen count also.

You guys don't know this but Fc Porto spend every year almost 5 to 6M€ on paying wages of there loaned players! They have over 15 players loaned out to first league clubs, five players in Braga SC that defeated Sporting yesterday are Fc Porto players (Renteria, Luis Aguiar, Cesar Peixoto, Alan, Jorginho). And they usually during the season buy players off the clubs that have there wage budgets already negative and don't even have money to pay wages to the players, there are 3 ou 4 clubs in the first league that haven't paid wages for over 4/5 months now.

I didn't know that but I'm not really that surprised - Bolton picked up Riga from Levante (Spain)because they had not been paying their players too.

I guess quite a few clubs are finding it hard going these days.

We are £55 million in debt!

It was reported today that Middlesborough - which is by no means a big club over here - is £85 million in debt!

http://msn.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,2483_4907134,00.html?icid=ukhotmail

Yet Sky TV have just agreed a £1.8 BILLION package for a three year period starting the season after next.
