Now that Sharps is banned from Burnden Aces what can he do with his spare time? I will start the list....
Learn how to drive so he doesn't have to get his Mum to pick him up from the Reebok.

I dont know a lot about running forums but I would have thought if its on its arse, losing 2 of your most active members in Amos and Sharps wouldn't be the way to go.

It's like when loads of people stopped going the match and said they wouldn't go again until Megson left. We sacked Megson and the crowds came flooding back. It'll be like that on here in my opinion.

Depends what you want from a forum Barry.
Both Amos and Sharps were amusing - but after a while people got sick of the same old stuff.
The forum went into decline when people left because of what they were continually posting – not the other way round!
At least Amos was savvy enough to quit when he was asked to pack it in - and is now almost certainly posting on ww as another one of his alto egos.
Your family member though just continued to post continual racist remarks (despite numerous requests for him to stop it).
At the end of the day no site will put up with that even if he is the biggest poster - because the majority of people simply find it unacceptable these days.
I bet you one thing though - he won't post his racist shite on ww because they simply won't put up with it like we've done.
Sharps was a massive part of this site but he thought he WAS the site - well he's found out he's not now.
The posters on ww have been around for a long while - and Sharps will never get to be the centre of attention as he was on here - no matter how many posts he makes.
Hope he enjoys it over there because he won't be back on here anytime soon.

You are spot on there, I found a vociferious minority with some power on WW were aggressively defensive of England's ethnic minorities .It could have been fishing but I felt it was genuine and they were the sort who would have been on the opposite side of the Town Hall square from the EDL. Around the middle of the last decade I started a thread on Rivals titled " Who is Bolton's best thread starter" My vote went to the Special One for his controversial input to WW but even he was banned from WW for a harmless ( in my opinion) racist joke. Sharps would not last a fortnight posting his racist bile on WW but I think he knows the score and is wise enough not to do that if that is where he wants to post. I thought Amos was Bolton's greatest poster of the last 2 years despite hardly going to any matches and is a huge loss to the site and will brighten up any site he pitches up at.The photo of himself on the Amsterdam google streetmap was the internet comedy moment of this decade imo. |
