Well done Bury - won away at the league leaders and beat them - at the same time getting automatic promotion.

Not too many things usually go right for them - so well done and best of luck next season.

Congrats to them. I've never been arsed by Bury, even though they hate us, and always like to see the local lower league teams do well.

Not much luck for rest of local teams though.

Shame for Preston, but should have a good chance of coming straight back up with Brownie, if they can keep some sort of decent squad (in big financial trouble)

Shame for Rochdale too, Keith Hill's done a fantastic job, but just fell short of playoffs, and Stockport are out of football league (minus something like a 30 goal difference swing) for first time in 100(and something) years.

Well done to Bury.
Preston's writing was on the wall well before Browny arrived: they had a bot of a rally but to no avail.
Rochdale have still had a great 1st season back in League 1 and relegation has been looming for Stockport for a good few years now, due to terrible internal mismanagement.

Sheffield Wednesday easily avoid relegation, winning four and drawing one of their last six games.

Credit where credit's due.

Gigg Lane or Deepdale next season?

I will do a poll nearer the time.

An eventful day all round for the Bury keeper yesterday, promoted, let 2 goals in and............oh punched in the head by a fan and abused by other fans.

Yeah, know a few Bury fans who's basic message to me was "see you in the prem", which I thought was abit of compliment really, if they think we'll be in the premier league forever. Smiley

Chorley promoted tonight. Beat AFC Fylde in playoff final. Was a good match. First goal was better passing than our Mark Davies/Blackpool goal. Cheesy
