Anyone going?

If so you need to get a move on to order tickets - less than a week left to do it - just done mine.

Might not be everyone's cup of tea but as it's sort of a once in a lifetime thing (last time they were in England was in 1948), I thought it would always be nice for my daughter to have the chance to see them (that is if the ticket allocation is kind to us).

She's been looking forward to them since we won the bid a few years back.

She wants to see some athletics, gymnastics and badminton (and I've picked out a cycling one for myself to see also).

We've put in also for the opening and closing ceremonies too.

So if anyone is thinking of doing it you need to get it booked in the next few days AND you need to have use of a VISA card to do it.

To register for them you need to go to this link -

The only way I'll go is if I can wrangle a few corporates out of it as I imagine we'll get a few as we've built the velodrome and BMX park.

I know its a once in a lifetime thing, but I really cannot face going... to be honest I cannot face the thought of being in London while its one... It maybe a case of taking a couple of weeks holiday abroad... especially living in East London!!

I'll happily take the inflation to the house prices and increased infrastructure round our way though!!

Not interested in the Olympics at all.

As the great Paul Calf used to say: Bag o'shite.

I'm a fan of any live sports, but really can't be bothered with the Olmpics. It's up there with the royal wedding in my eyes.

Whoever pays over 2 grand for a ticket to the opening ceremony must be off their chump.
