Angry scenes at the MEN Arena as the fight is stopped for what looks like a fairly innocuous cut. All three judges award the fight to Khan but although the fight may be over the action inside the ring continues with McCloskey's promoter Barry Hearn going absolutely mad. Boos rings out and it is a very unsavoury finish to what was a scrappy fight.

To be fair, Khan did nowt wrong.

Won all six rounds convincingly. Very little danger of him losing. Accidental clash of heads, Hearn went mad at the end, rightly in my opinion, because of the Doctor and Ref's decision to stop the fight straight away.

Would have probably have been better to let them finish the round, let them try and patch him up at the start of the next round, and if nothing could be done, then stop the fight. Suppose they know best though.

Shame for McCloskey but a shame for Khan too. I'm sure Amir would have liked to have finished him off with a KO.

PMC really didn't bring much in the way of offence to the match, although he was taking Khan's shots quiet well I thought.

Sky Bet would only pay out after 12 rounds, mate's gutted.  Thankfully I'm not a gambling man, unless you count spending a few hundred quid hoping for a good Sunday afternoon out.
Fight shouldn't have been stopped so early though, McCloskey seemed with it still and his vision wasn't impaired by bleeding.  The Dr was well Bolton.
