If 40 points is considered 'safe' from relegation, then everyone from Newcastle in 9th (Played 32 - 39 points) downwards are still at risk with just 6 games to go for the majority of teams. 9 Newcastle 32 1 39 10 West Brom 32 -13 39 11 Fulham 32 1 38 12 Stoke 32 -3 38 13 Sunderland 32 -10 38 14 Aston Villa 32 -13 37 15 Blackburn 32 -12 35 16 Birmingham 31 -12 35 17 Blackpool 32 -20 33 18 West Ham 32 -18 32 19 Wolves 32 -20 32 20 Wigan 32 -23 31 I've done the above above poll to include the current bottom six teams - but it is so tight down there that teams like Sunderland (1 point from the last 21 available) are certainly not out of the woods yet. The remaining fixtures for the bottom six teams are as follows - Blackburn - Everton v Blackburn, Blackburn v Man City, Blackburn v Bolton, West Ham v Blackburn, Blackburn v Man Utd, Wolverhampton v Blackburn, Birmingham - Birmingham v Sunderland, Chelsea v Birmingham, Liverpool v Birmingham, Birmingham v Wolverhampton, Newcastle v Birmingham, Birmingham v Fulham, Tottenham v Birmingham, Blackpool - Blackpool v Wigan, Blackpool v Newcastle, Blackpool v Stoke, Tottenham v Blackpool, Blackpool v Bolton, Man Utd v Blackpool, West Ham - West Ham v Aston Villa, Chelsea v West Ham, Man City v West Ham, West Ham v Blackburn, Wigan v West Ham, West Ham v Sunderland Wolves - Wolverhampton v Fulham, Stoke v Wolverhampton, Birmingham v Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton v West Brom, Sunderland v Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton v Blackburn, Wigan - Blackpool v Wigan, Sunderland v Wigan, Wigan v Everton, Aston Villa v Wigan, Wigan v West Ham, Stoke v Wigan. So whose tIme is up - who are the three weakest links? The BBC Predictor here if it helps - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm

West Ham v Blackburn Wolverhampton v Blackburn Birmingham v Wolverhampton Blackpool v Wigan Wigan v West Ham
Those games will obviously decide it.
To me, Wolves look to have the easiest run-in. Three winnable home games and three away games where taking something isn't out of the question. Birmingham will have enough to stay up. West Ham have it tough, and it'll come down to last three games, if they take 6pts+ they'll be fine, less they'll go down.
Blackburn have the hardest run-in, in fact, there best chance of three points on paper between now and the end of the season is Bolton. Their 'six pointers' are both away from home.
Blackpool need to pick up big points in their next three home games or they're gone.
Wigan actually have a decent run in, but they'll still go down.
Wigan, Blackpool and Blackburn/West Ham. I've gone for Blackburn.

One thing I'd say is that Wolves looked utterly terrible in their last two games and don't have Doyle for the run-in. They look in massive trouble to me.
They do have the 'easiest' fixtures left, but they are terrible.

West Ham, Wigan and Wolves for me. I'm hoping Blackburn do but I think they'll just have enough. Think they'll really struggle next season though.

Any three from Blackburn, Blackpool, Wolves, West Ham, and Wigan, but I really feel it could be the three from the North West

Anyone left with Bolton at home is already three points better off than they are now. We always give struggling teams the points on our travels.
Having said that, it could be the only three points that Blackburn pick up looking at their run-in so my fingers are firmly crossed for their relegation.
I'm going Wigan, Blackburn & Birmingham.

I've done the predictor twice now and the first time I had it down as Wigan, Fulham, and either Wolves or Blackburn depending on that last game. But I had Blackburn to beat Birmingham on Saturday, so now with the second time I actually have them as already down before they go to Wolves. I don't like doing the last weekend of predictions because it's impossible to say what mentality each club will be in at that point.
But going into the 38th game I have it as Wigan certainly down on 31 points. They might beat West Ham at home but that's it, and that won't be enough. I've got Blackburn on 36 points, and that includes a point at home to us. Next come Fulham on 39 points, Blackpool on 40, and a four-way tie between Wolves, West Ham, Birmingham and Stoke, all on 41. West Brom on 42 could still go down going off my predictions, while Newcastle are on 43 and safe.
I said that Blackburn needed to beat Birmingham, and could still go even if they did. They didn't and they are really going to have to pull something out now to save themselves. Everton away is never easy. City and United at home obviously aren't. West Ham away looks winnable to us but their fans swear blind they just can't win at Upton Park. Bolton they will definitely say is a must-win, but even if they beat us and Wolves it might not be enough.
So for me, Wigan, Blackburn, and I'm gonna say Fulham but that last place could go to any one of that bunch.

I like it how Steve Kean, when asked a month or so ago back whether he was worried they'd go down, said no, we've got winnable games coming up with Blackpool, Birmingham and Bolton. That worked out well for you mate. Prick!
Really hope they go down. A message to foreign owners who know fcúk all about football, let alone how to run a football club. I think them and West Ham will be saved by the shitness of those below them i.e. Blackpool, Wolves and Wigan.

Thirteen people voted so far - every single one of them voted for Wigan to go down - and one game later on - Wigan are OUT of the bottom three!
I've set the poll up so that people can take their votes back and vote again if they want.
Today’s results saw West Ham lose at home to a last minute Villa goal - with their next two games being both Chelsea and City away! Blackpool sink into the bottom three after losing at home to Wigan, Blackburn losing again - bet those Indian Chicken farmers are happy - and Sunderland getting beat - currently they have won 1 point out of the last 24 - great manager is that Steve Bruce - oh yes he is!
So is Blackpool now a cert to go down and Wigan to stay up?
Anyone want to change their minds (and votes).
Will Stoke get knocked out of the Cup and get relegated within just a handful of weeks?
What do you think will happen now?

I'm sticking with Blackburn because I am desperate for them to go down. I'll also stick with Wigan but I'll swap Birmingham for West Ham.

Well another round of matches gone and the bottom of the table looks like this -
13 Fulham 33 1 39 14 Stoke 33 -3 39 15 Birmingham 34 -17 38 16 Blackburn 34 -15 35 17 Blackpool 34 -22 34 18 Wigan 34 -23 34 19 Wolves 33 -20 33 20 West Ham 34 -22 32
Blackpool crawled out of the bottom three but it is really tight down there - Blackburn's next match is home against us - what a great time for us to win at Ewood eh?
So you still happy with your predictions - or are you going to change them?

If we win at Ewood they are going down. The away games they have at West Ham & Wolves are winnable but it will be 11 league games without a win if they don't beat us and their away form is hopeless. They struggle to score past anyone and are really going to have to pull it out now if they are to survive.
I do like that we have a big say in it though because we can't blame anyone else. If we want them down, then it's up to us to send them down.

My initial votes still look pretty good - Wigan, Wolves & West ham. I'd like Blackburn to go down, though.
