I'd say all beliefs do.
I do not know where to begin with that one. I believe that if I ask my girlfriend for a coffee she will get me a coffee. Based on the fact that 9 times out of ten that is what happens. I have reason to believe it. If I said (in a spooky voice) "There will be a plane crash in the next year" and a plane crashed in 6 months, you wouldnt credit me with any sort of premonition. *************** An astrologist will say something like, "There is a big decision to make in the next month. And you need to watch out for someone at work". Well of course! There is always some decision to be made. And whatever the biggest decision in your life is at that particular time you will say this is the decision it was meaning, be it a break up, a marriage, naming a kid, changing a job, moving house or dying your hair. In your head you will see whatever you want to see as the big decision. And "watch out for someone at work" or "there is a work issue" (more commonly used now there is a job shortage - clever eh, cos that covers everyone out of work too). There is always some sort of situation with work whether its being out of work, not getting paid, being late, having a row with your boss, your lunch being stolen etc etc. I dont know anyone who doesnt have some work issue or other going on at any given moment. |
