“I am expecting him to go. You cannot put a time line on it but if a big club is out there then I would say sign Gary Cahill because I rate him so highly.” - P. Robinson

“For me, he needs to be playing with top players and to play for England. I know he wants to do that and he gets frustrated because he performs for Bolton without getting the rewards..."

Absolute quality, Robbo.

He knows Owen needs money to spend and that Cahill's not worth anywhere near £20m, so he starts a sales pitch for him. I like it.

I read that before. That's as close as a "come get me" plea, that you're going to get.

Last time I looked you actually have to be able to defend to play for your country.

Cahill is shite, he'll still be a Bolton player come February. Which is a shame.

Cahill will remain a Bolton player until June 2012 when he'll leave on a free.

That's why we're trying to sell Cahill for £20million and not Knight.

I think he needs to just knuckle down; atleast until the summer. If he isn't keeping clean sheets for us, then I doubt many teams will be willing to pay that much for him.

If it was Cahill saying it then I'd be tempted to agree, but Robinson saying it?? Just PR isn't it.

Lawrenson claims that Cahill isn't good enough for Arsenal. Fair point, he's entitled to his opnion, but his reasoning is that Cahill is not good enough 'on the ball' for Arsenal. What? Has he watched Cahill? Personally, I'd say Cahill's ability 'on the ball', especially for a CB, is second to none. Name another CB who could have scored some of the goals he scored last season. Prick!

Cahill may not be 'good enough for Arsenal' but that is certainly not down to his ability with the ball at his feet.

I agree. I've lost the will to listen to Lawrenson speak, to be honest.
