Come to think of it, if Veloso was playing in Muamba's position, our team would possess more strength in the middle...

And be much weaker defensively. And when you consider our inability to keep clean sheets already, we'd get fúcked over every week.

Veloso is a holding player so i doubt he'd be streaking forward scoring tones of goals.
anyway no idea why we're talking about this.

We have no chance of getting players like Veloso.
Bentley is crap and we have Chung Yong.
Robbie Keane is far too expensive fee/wages and considers himself a big time Charlie.

Robbie Keane earns over double what our current highest earner is on, so no.
This window will be very much reactive I reckon.
If we lose players like Cahill- then we'll spend money to replace them.
If we keep our big players- we won't spend anything, maybe bring a back-up loan in to strengthen the odd position.
We've got a strong squad with decent Premier League players like Taylor, Mavies, Klasnic and Ricketts unable to get off the bench. We're not going to spend money unless we get offered a really good player at a really affordable price that we just can't pass up.

Obviously we'll need to replace Klasnic if he's in prison.

When was the last time Keane scored?
Nicholas Anelka is a first team regular for the best club in the league at the moment.
Mid-table clubs generally don't have someone who can score many goals- apart from Sunderland and Darren Bent- but then I said at the time I'd happily sell half our team to fund a move for him.
PS Leeds have signed AOB on a 1 month loan.

He hasn't scored at home that doesn't mean he can't.
But i agree with you about Anelka, you put in the 22 million plus 80k a week and we'll see if they listen.

I don't know what "main scorer" means; they all have players they expect to score goals. Whether they're doing it or not is a different matter.

Only Messi, Ronaldo and Ozil can do that.

38 games in a season. 18 Premier League seasons.
Only players to score 30 goals in Premier League history are- Shearer, Andy Cole, Phillips, Ronaldo and Henry.
15 goals a season is a good target for a top scorer for any mid-table team.
Elmander has 5 in 9. Very good conversion rate thus far.

I fancy the Swede to get 15 this season. He is a man reborn Jimbo.

Possibly a fair bit, think he played in the same Real Madrid academy team as Rodrigo and Marcos Alonso.

Agreed he's had long enough to impress and should be sold.

Yeah, looks a bit lightweight Seriously though, Robinson is better from what I've seen, he should get better though, you don't go through the ranks at Madrid if you're a mug.

Alonso is still only 18, right? He'll get there - not that many players break into the first team at that age.
