We've got 4 away wins since august 09'
Oh, and we've won 2 and drawn 2 from our last 6 away league games. Isolated stats mean fúck all, I'm afraid.

I agree with Natasha. I don't see why everyone thinks we'll win, let alone hammer them, even though Al Habsi isn't playing. 0-0 draw

I don't see us dicking em either this is going to be the lowest crowd of the weekend, followed by a shite game and an end result of 1-1 and about 10 seconds on match of the day.

One thing i know is we won't finish the match without a point or a goal to our count... N Zogbia is the only threat i see, but i'm not really sure of their striker Bosseli..

I wouldn't be surprised if Petrov was on the bench tomorrow.

As much as Taylor isn't as good technically with the ball than Petrov if we want a left sided player who is a real goal threat then Taylor is our best option.

Taylor did nothing in open play, far less than Petrov, but he did whip in the freekick that led to Sorenson's fumble. which Davies somehow missed.

It's great how Taylor didn't perform in 30 minutes and gets slated, yet 8 poor games from Petrov yield little criticism.

Nope; Petrov has been poor as well apart from in the UTD game which he was ok.

Fair comment. I'm praying he is a late starter and his time in the City reserves hasn't had too much effect on him. Otherwise get shut in summer while he is still worth something.

I'd drop Petrov tomorrow. Not neccessarily permenantly, but we have two perfectly decent left-midfielders there. I don't see why we should bank everything on one or the other. For me, Petrov's been dire this season for the most part. A great goal against United, the odd other glamour moments, but his effort is low and he doesn't seem to like things not going his way. Plus his "I'm near my own box... time for a back-flick!" moment last week was truly outrageous.
He could and will get better for us. But for tomorrow, Coyle needs to show he isn't afraid of dropping players, no matter how highly spoken of. Give Taylor a go.

ITA Chris. I'd like to see Taylor start.. Petrov usually contributes about 1 shot on goal per game and not much else. I think he's trying too hard to live up to what he perceives is expected of him. Give Taylor a full game and see what happens - he's not great technically but he gets in the right areas and provides a great set piece, he's always a goal threat.

Apart from that one goal, Petrov looks like he wishes he wasnt here. Taylor did more in that last 30 minutes than Petrov has done most of the season. I'd give him one more start today then if he's still crap get Matty in next week.

You like overreacting dont you, not that I am slagging off Taylor but he didnt really do much so to say he did more in that 30 minutes than Petrov has done all season is just fcuking stupid. I would start Petrov today because Wigan are shíte and he will be able to stretch Wigan and seeing they are the home team it will be on them to attack us thus leaving more space for him and Lee to exploit.

Seriously, I dont think Taylor could have done any worse than Petrov and would likely have scored more goals.
Not to say I don't think he can turn it round but Petrov's attitude doesnt seem great.

Taylor did not do more than Petrov in that 30 minutes at all. He produced the freekick for Davies's sitter, but the keeper stops holds onto the freekick 99% of the time, it was a huge mistake. He did nothing else except a few short passes.
Petrov didn't play great, but he still had a thunderbolt from 30 yards well saved, and delivered a few quality crosses.
