Saturday 23rd October

The Colls play in the Vodkat North West Counties Football League Division One and on Sat 23/10 they take on Oldham Boro in the Division 1 Trophy.

According to oldboy 58: this is designated as one of their "Corporate" Days, whereby for the princely sum of £25 per person, you get:

Free Ale from 2pm until 6pm, plus pie and peas thrown in.

Later on that evening, they've got a race night on, where you'd be more than welcome to stay, but you need to pay for your drinks.

I reckon £25 for 4 hrs drinking plus food whilst watching semi-pro footballers giving it 110% is a decent offer.

So, I'm up for it: who else fancies it?

Let me know ASAP, so we can sort it with the club.

Didle is like Iron Mike when he has been on the wife beater.

Why would anybody want to miss a local derby to watch some amateur's have a kick about and drink what you like for £25, it would probably be cheaper to watch our match in a pub than fork out for that.

I don't want to line Whelan's pockets, so I wasn't going to Wigan anyway.

It's to try and help the Colls raise a few quid and their profile.

Why though? I know he is a complete tosser who thinks it is 1950 but surely you must begrudgingly pay things like Sky even though they are complete twats.

I can thoroughly recommend Colls for any fans not going to Wigan who want to see a decent game of  football, I go regularly to their midweek home games, you will be guaranteed a friendly welcome and the people running the club are all  Wanderers fans. Also you will be pleasantly surprised by the standard of football, so anyone requiring their football fix on the 23rd please give them a go, as Traf says it will help with their finances, which is vital at their level
